its a free open source audio player. Songbird utilizes the cross-platform frameworks, Mozilla's XULRunner and GStreamer media framework, and is thus capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Solaris and Linux.

It has a lot of plugins like Mozilla Firefox. You should get recommendations on new artists based on songs you already love.
