I've been looking for the Lovers In Japan promo single for ages now, but the only kind that I can find on eBay is the Japan promo release, and its in an actual cd case. For me, this isn't very useful (I like to frame my promos :P and parts at the bottom and top seems cut away every single time I find one on eBay ( Here is an example ))

 

 

So I just wanted to ask, was it ever released in a cardboard sleeve like all the other promos? And if so, could you possibly point me to one on the web?

 

I realise it might sound a bit silly, but I mean, if you're gonna pay €60+ , might as well be exactly the way you like it, no? :P

you can rest assure: it really was released in a cardboard. more so: there are 2 cardboard releases of this single. You have the US Capitol Promo and the EU Parlophone promo. If you don't mind which one it is, and just want to frame it, I suggest you look out for the US one as it's easier to find than the EU one, and they're a lot cheaper. The Japanese one is, as you said, the easiest to find, but that price stated there is a little high if you ask me.

 

I'm sorry but I can't really tell you where to find these at the moment, but checking ebay every now and then is a good start. The last kind of info that I can give you are the average selling prices of both promo singles, based on sold items on ebay:

- US Capitol cardsleeve promo ( based on 7 prices) = € 39.5

- EU cardsleeve promo (based on 1 price) = € 52.60

Are you freaking serious??? I was at a CD Fair a few months ago and I saw the LiJ Promo for 10 euro's. So stupid that I didn't bought it :(.

that was indeed a very very reasonable price for a LiJ promo (doesn't even matter what promo it was). But the prices I mentioned are averages, so don't let them freak you out. When suddenly 2 or 3 promos come online, the price will go down drasticly. So if you're lucky, you might find one one day as cheap as the one you saw.
