you should be able to buy them in a supermarket like tesco.

you could get him a cornish pasty too (originally from cornwall)

lancashire cheese is quite nice.

i can't think of any more specifically english foods!

there is some good english cake with clotted cream but it doesn't have specific shops. just go in random nice ones and they will have them. there are lots of nice cake shops around.

 

or toad in the hole. you should get the ingredients for toad in the hole.

like you said i think you might be better off going somewhere else. they usually have small cake shops. most bakerys do nice cakes too. you just have to have a little search
