It was a lovely gig - from 2008, you say - with my absolute favourites: VLV, Clocks, Fix You, the Scientist (which was played on VH1, Denmark at the same time as Clocks btw), In My Place and POLITIK. I especially enjoyed POLITIK and 42 that I haven't heard for a long time.

Yes, The Scientist with the harmonica was very nice, indeed. In fact all the songs were nice.

 

No, I didn't get where it was from, but you wrote that the gig was from 2008 - or were you referring to something else? ("the white session" was mentioned - and I do not know what you mean).

 

 

And CRESTY, I am glad that you are enjoying the summer holidays. How long is your holiday? And how warm / hot is it where you are? Here it is around 18 degrees Celsius, I think.

Yeah it was in 2008. Greg asks if it was a white session but I don't know what it is.

We have a french expression means "J'arrive trois mille ans après la guerre" but I don't know if there's a same expression in english... Translating it : "I'm back, 3000 years after the war...." I think I could use this expression everyday because I'm always late here :(

 

Hi Nancy :nice: it seems like you enjoyed the french radio's gig. I'm not sure that the gig comes from 2008 but The Scientist with guitar and armonica was played like that in 2008 or not during the stadium tour anyway :nice:

I loved 42 and Fix You as well but all the songs were nice :heart:

Then I googled "black sessions" to make sure that I had got it right, and of course I had.

 

Black Sessions are performances of live music broadcast on the French radio station France Inter. They are recorded in front of a live audience ...

yes the white sessions were without audience. they were just played on there own with french dialogue in between

We learned something new - what "white session" and "black session" mean, and we heard Coldplay live. It was a really nice gig and a very good sound.
