I watched Italy being kicked out of the World Cup by Slovakia and Denmark lose 1:3 to Japan. Not just what I expected. In both games the best team on the day won.

Yes, I was also pleased to see that New Zealand remained unbeaten. And some good goals scored today. I'm afraid that Denmark didn't score any of these.

 

The Danish captain managed to score one goal after failing to score on the penalty. But I was NOT amused/impressed! But the Danish captain managed to get his 52nd goal - that is a drawn record in Danish football.

 

I'm fine as well, thank you, and today has been a quite quiet day.

 

The Netherlands meeting Slovakia in its next match - I guess that NL will win. Do you think that they will actually win?

 

Often the countries with maximum goals after the 3 first matches (such as now the Netherlands and Argentina), are beaten by a team which did everything but impress / play well in the first 3 matches and only just making it into the knock-out matches.

 

I came to think of England (I prefer to see Germany win that match).

i can't see the netherlands not winning since they have won every match, even in the qualifiers before the world cup even started. 11 wins out of 11 in their last competitive games.

 

i would not be overly bothered to see germany win the match. i don't really support the national team. i support my town team but that's it.

those are the best places. i was just sayng to someone i might be going to a place like that this weekend. they really fill you up and are quality meat. not like fast food restaurants where you are hungry again after half an hour because of the addictive chemicals.

the brazil portugal match could either be amazing or boring. just depends if they are as attacking as usual or if they both play really cagey and defensive so as not to get beat.

It's more better than burger king or any fast food yes. It's more expensive but it's worth it.

I read that he has not scored a goal for several years, so one might wonder why continue to use him as striker in an important World Cup match. I think that the Danish coach Morten Olsen wanted Ion Dahl to have a chance of scoring that 52nd goal.

 

Nice of Morten Olsen, but not good for Denmark, I think.

 

I have not followed the Danish team before during World Cup. I understand that Denmark has had a lot of injured key players and an unstable defense and a keeper who could be much better. But never mind. The world goes on.

 

I hope that this time a stable football nation such as Argentina, Brazil or the Netherlands are going to win. If not I would not mind to see Germany win. They have a team with many players who can score (5 goals made by 5 different players).

there is no place for sentiment in football. you get punished if you do things like that and perhaps that is why denmark didn't score as many goals. do you think he might play in some of the qualifiers for the european championship, so he can perhaps beat the record? i don't think they should.
