Are Games Art?

3 Chairs, or some title like that. I remember seeing that in my Art History class. It was supposed to be the 3 kinds of chairs. A photo of one, a definition of one and an actual one.

The video/computer games are just like a contemporary form of art so yes it is, but not necessarily in its entirety.

and yes, a piece of a furniture can be an art, even houses are art. But not like our house, you know what I mean.

Completely agree with you; in fact, all of the girls within that I CAN HAZ AZZ thread have been influenced by her and continue to be.

I love Crests, and I respect her a lot.

But it's annoying to see people imitating her just cos they wanna be as funny as she is.

She's naturally funny & interesting, they're not.

I never understood why people hate that thread so much. Is it because it's name is written in caps and it has "cakehmich" mentioned in it and someone thought that it's weird combination or is it because people who are younger than you gather to TALK in that thread? Why no one is complaining about Crest's thread, 'cause it's exactly the same.

Probably because nobody steps in there? I don't, I ignore all the chatter/dedication threads

I'd say things like food and furniture are not art. They're not created to affect the senses or emotions, they're each made for a specific use.

Although there is furniture that can be considered artistic.

What about buildings? I mean, they're definately built for a specific use but some of the older ones have got some beautiful architecture. Some really modern buildings have pretty artistic designs too.

Any object has the potential to be considered art. It really comes down to intentionality.

Agree completely!

Yeah, it's by Joseph Kosuth. I love conceptual art.

It's not the personality.

It's the stuff she does here that you all imitate.

Oh thank you. But I've never tried to be anyone but myself, and I will never do that.
