Many people here have really good taste [(i.e. agreeable taste) i.e. my taste]. Though I almost didn't post after you said you liked saw movies.

anything by Ingmar Bergman. The Seventh Seal, Wild Strawberries, Winter Light, Summer with Monika, Persona etc.

I love Woody Allen as well.

One day I tried to watch "Wild strawberries", but fell asleep after the first 10 minutes... It's not like it was boring, mostly I was really tired, lol.

Still have to watch it.

He's amazing, I went a couple weeks in my dorm last semester watching maybe ten of his movies on you-tube.

We all have guilty pleasures :P

I like those only because you never really expect the ending.

what are your favorite movies?

Lost In Translation, Once, The Pianist, Heima, The Seventh Seal, most things by hitchcock or with tom hanks...the list is much longer, but I have a tough time distinguishing between a really good movie, and one of my favorite movies.

I've never seen The blind side. I'll check it out :nice:

I love The pianist!

well I don't know if you'll like it but it Sandra Bullock won an oscar for it! :wacky: and I liked the movie..

I strongly recomend Kieslowski's trilogy: Three Colors: Blue, White and Red.

The lives of the others (Das Leben der anderen)

Pulp Fiction (The best of Tarantino, in case you have not seen it)

A Japanese movie I got to watch this year called Departures. Really beautiful.

You can also check some Roman Polanski's films (like The Pianist, Rosemary's baby, Bittermoon), he's a great director. And if you want to check something really weird and uncommon I advice films of Rainer Werner Fassbinder.

haha~! Yes! ohh! Kill Bill! hehe I loved those!

I haven't seen the other ones you mentioned though

The Pianist was a great movie!

I agree

doesn't matter. though you're probably thinking of the reader or revolutionary road.

I was gonna suggest this.

Yes! The Reader. I haven't seen Revolutionary Road. I bought it on demand but didn't finish watching it :/

The Reader was really good, though a bit depressing.

Revolutionary Road was really well done, but probably the most depressing movie I've ever seen.

I'd advice also The Reader... with Kate Winslet... based on Bernhard Schlink's book of the same name, which I really want to read.

And if you're interested in romantic films, I'd advice two days in Paris.

I liked the Painted Veil  I can't think of anything else! :bomb:

btw, have you seen Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain?

it's like one of all time favourites for many, me included. ;)

nice!

What about Vanilla Sky? I really love that one, I saw it for the first time about 6 months ago and it was so good.

I love Woody Allen as well.

His works are good. I liked Match Point and Vicky Christina Barcelona.

nice!

Great example of a movie that I consider really really good, but probably wouldn't watch twice in the same week. It might have the best soundtrack I know, though.

Isn't it called Amelie?

I like The Lion King!:P & Toy Story & Kung Fu Panda & Finding Nemo:laugh3: & The Lord of the Rings and all the Harry Potter movies :P

I really want to see Vicky Christina Barcelona... I've seen bits and it looks so good!

I really like Manhattan Murder Mystery. I also saw Whatever Works in theatres... it was pretty good!

Is that the one with Penelope Cruz?? I did not liked that movie. what about Amores Perros? You've seen that one yet? I'm a Gael Garcia Bernal fan so I tend to watch all of his movies hehe Bad Education :idea2:

Although for many, Penélope's best film is "Volver", I personally think her best is her last film "Broken Embraces"... is a great movie from Almodóvar!

If I ever get face surgery I plan on sprinting down some random street shouting 'TECH SUPPORT!!!'

I watched that in my humanities class. It won't blow you away, but it's interesting and entertaining.
