Haha yah, that's the way to do it. :wink: And another thing that helped was that she kind of took it apart. She took the battery and the SIM card out and put them and the rest of the phone in the rice in separate pieces like that.

My auntie once accidentally dropped her phone in a glass of water. AND then her new phone got run over by a taxi.

My ipod's 5 years old and still going strong. :smug: (Although now I've said that it'll probably die. :uhoh:)

Maybe I should try this rice thing but we need to buy rice first. My ipod is insuranced though so I should hand it in to the store where I bought and see what they have to say about it all :wacky:

 

The whole dropping it in the toilet thing is really comon actually

 

ive been careful and never dropped mine in but it did get set too close to a puddle of water and some must have trickled in cuz now it only works when its plugged in/being charged

 

so i bought another one off ebay

thought i lost that one

then bought ANOTHER ONE

then found the original in my grandfathers couch

 

now i have more ipods then i know what to do with and am out 77 bucks for nothing

 

dood gimme one of your ipods, you dont need them all :nice:

 

Just give it a few weeks to dry out and it might be fine, but the screen will probably be ruined

Hm, are you sure? Did you get a special insurance? I know with the normal warranty they don't fixed water-damaged iPods. Was it actually damaged by water specifically?

I dropped my iPod in the toilet. Yes, I know. The toilet?! How stupid can a person be? VERY STUPID APPARENTLY :bomb:

 

Poor iPod, this is the second time it's gone down the toilet. I dont hate it, I'm just very clumsy :thinking:

 

Did the Same thing with my phone, recommend sticking it in dry rice it absorbs the water. Also dropped my camera in my mate's inflatable Pool... ME=CLUMSY :lol:
