The first time it happened I unplugged it with manually turning it off or something and I was like ok, I won't do that anymore.

The second time i just plugged it in to my mom's (dying) computer to let it charge and it did it and I was like ok, I won't do that anymore either.

And just this morning I put it to charge in my computer, manually ejected it AND IT'S IN RECOVERY MODE.

What is this crap?

Yeah, I guess. I forget what it looks like already. :P

And the screen usually tells you it's in recovery mode and to go restore it when it first happens and then goes back to that or whatever.

 

Interestingly enough, this time I could just solve it by holding down the menu and middle button.

 

Some kind of false recovery mode? Or what? :thinking:

I'm not sure, but I've had the same problem with both my iPods. (I had the 4th gen. nano and 3rd gen. touch). It seems like it does it the most when it gets confused, for lack of a better term. :lol: For my Touch, it usually does it when the wifi cuts out and it's trying to load something. :shrug:

Keep your iPod 'docked' to just the 1 PC, it doesn't like it if you use 2 or more PCs, even if it's just for charging (get yourself an USB power-adaptor which charges the pod up from the mains)

 

And don't remove your iPod when it's plugged into iTunes unless you eject the iPod and the screen says "okay to disconnect"
