This thread is to discuss all kinds of skeptical and atheistic issues and people. Some topics of consideration: God, conspiracy theories, UFO’s and other fantastic claims. We can also discuss famous skeptics and atheists: Dawkins, Hitchens, Carlin, Sagan, etc…

If anyone is interested in any of these issues, I suggest you go to the following website and listen to their weekly podcast!

Jay will be proud when he sees this.

UFO's make me laugh. Along with the supernatural, how about this for a quote;

"Paranormal phenomena have a habit of going away whenever they are tested under rigorous conditions. This is why the $740,000 reward of James Randi, offered to anyone who can demonstrate a paranormal effect under proper scientific controls, is safe." - Richard Dawkins

^ Jay who?

from the podcast

No, this user. He's into libertarianism and loves these moral conversations.

you know who pisses me off the most, freakin Sylvia Brown :veryangry2:

I hate, hate, hate her

Randi had been trying to get her to accept his Million Dolar Challenge but she refuses to accept it, maybe because she knows that she is just a stupid con artist :dozey:

Seems like this will be a cool thread; I just can't think of where to start. :\

oh, I was confused because the podcast that I mentioned in my original post, one of the guys on it is called Jay :)

I read in the latest Sky magazine that former wrester and "actor" Jesse Ventura is now a conspiracy theorist? I'd thought he was still blowing away Predators!

Southern Baptist leader on yoga: Not Christianity

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A Southern Baptist leader who is calling for Christians to avoid yoga and its spiritual attachments is getting plenty of pushback from enthusiasts who defend the ancient practice.

Southern Baptist Seminary President Albert Mohler says the stretching and meditative discipline derived from Eastern religions is not a Christian pathway to God.

No longer blowing away Predators, just being governor of Minnesota. Yah. Eh.

  • Author

^ that's a great idea, but I was thinking we should start with Scientology, :)

we can do 9/11 once we get this thread going properly, cause it is a little controversial
