Semi's passing at 70 mph so close I could reach out and touch them if I wanted was intense. I was almost hit a few times. I got 135 miles in 3 days. It was quite the adventure, my hands are torn up and bleeding.

Had to walk 13 miles in the dark in mostly soft sand with the bike at one point when it was dark outside. The next town with a hotel was 15 miles away.And it was dark so I couldn't ride on the highway so I walked on the side of the road. But it was mostly sand. After about 13 of walking on horrible terrain after going 48 miles earlier on the bike, I fell on the ground and was going to rest a while. But some guys in a truck saw me and thought I was injured so they came over and gave me a ride to the hotel.

 

Oh and I found the most scenic view, so I stopped to eat and rest for a little bit. Sat in sand spurs. My ass was already sore from the bike seat.

Thanks. I ended up after the first day riding back to Florida and ending up in Jacksonville. Which was a better route to take. People were really friendly. When I stopped to rest I had people pull over and ask if they could help me with anything.
