Spain's strict new anti-smoking rules take effect

Featured Replies

Dont worry Ari, we are gonna be fighting soon. Its just the start.

Spain is tomorrows Tunisa and Egypt. Everything will change..

if is true i can't wait for that day to happen and slap some big bunch of stupid politicians, bankers, syndicates and other vampires we have in the system the big slap they deserve for the harm they've done to our society since the last centuries.

thought that's an old problem and i doubt it'll change some point i guess is on our genetics, to f**k the 'democracy' at some point with the stupid individualisms.

thought as i said i doubt it'll change as it should at the end, it'll end on the same cycle point in another 20-30 years time, is lame.

:stunned:

lets hope though its not like 1936 ! I would not like that very much, I may have to move or become involved !

we are going so off topic apparently but is not the first time that a law against some social thing ends in revolts on the streets.

But the thing comes from long ago:

(es / en) <- and that one dates of 1766.

(es / en) <- from 1854

This time might be a lot worst, since we have a lot more to lose and on the other hand a lot to win, though there are a lot more different backgrounds and cause to fight against one another.

i hope elections will change things for better and so a out of hand riot won't be necesary, though i highly doubt elections will do a thing, people are very pissed with politicians and have reasons why to be.

Sad thing is that over and over we get to the same point.

What pisses me is i bet again politicians will use the results on their benefit and we'll start rebuilt things to end in the same crash point in a generation or two again! Feels usaless to do a thing. I come to think some 'hand' pull those strings that way again and again since Hell knows when!

There is no real solution here, our country (my adapted country is a victim of itself.

I was reading a really good book, pity I did not get to finish it. Called "Ghosts of Spain " James Tremlet

What I read though was really an enlighten to how things have gone since Franco Died, and how things shaped up for the property boom that happen, it was clearly unlistenable.

With all the curroption the money has all gone, and now we have to pay the price ( eso es muy caro )

Some but a lot of my local friends don’t have jobs, they know a lot of people that have turned to crime as they can not get jobs or any more paro.

This is what happened before the war, and Franco and his friends, and also the Las Rojas paid people like this to the real dirty work, back then.

I don't know what is so strict about the law. In Los Angeles it is no smoking in all public buildings, work place, bars, anywhere that you eat like reataurents, clubs, sporting events, concerts, beach, etc. If you smoke within 10 feet to a restaurent or a place that serves food or drink like Starbucks, you will get a ticket to be fined. I like it no smoking everywhere. I don't like to breath smoke.

The people here are pretty depressed. Its making them angry bars are closing or bring brought by the chinise whom dont have a clue how to make a simple coffee !!

Its destroying the micro fabircs of the way of life, and the smoking ban has just intensified it. If people want to smoke let them, it generates more money !

Over here most people don't like smoke, and are very glad to have non smoking laws.

Smokers will also be prohibited on television broadcasts

as i said that problem has been happening since 1766 or so cyclically, so is not a matter of Franco or the Republica, is an older problem in the base of democratic spirit in the country. Those two are the current excuse to justify the current politicians generation we have that all they do is get money for doing very few for the country and which are who sign this or that law which affect everybody and it shouldn't be like that. That is not democratic at all.

I know a lot of people are losing jobs or aren't able to get one, i wonder who still have a job here, so no surprise people are doing small crimes to earn some money to get a living.
