November 7, 200322 yr Author It’s all relative, though through my eyes, Pot is not a negative drug if you don’t indulge or rely on it. I am a firm believer that people get so caught up in this world; it’s economy and its views that we make judgments based off what’s socially acceptable. Most people that say they don’t like pot either haven’t used it, or only used it for stupid reasons, like getting fucked up, & have been left with bad memories. For myself, it’s quite the contrary. I’ll smoke it on a day off, to put my life routines & worries away temporarily so that I can focus on something more important, like self-exploration & improvement. It allows me to give a day to a good book or creative impulse, to see things from another perspective, to sometimes laugh at myself when I wasn’t in a carefree stoniness. If I didn’t use pot, I wouldn’t be the open, spiritual, loving person I like to think I am today. Those of you who say it’s stupid, or “I can find other ways of having fun” really can’t understand what I mean, until they give it a try & experience the positive aspects. Alcohol was illegal in the 20’s I think (correct me if I’m wrong), & now that’s legal & not frowned upon; like if someone were to have a cocktail after work or get sloppy at a bad wedding. Pot most likely *will* be legalized in the near future. When it is, will your views change? Cigarettes do nothing but kill you, they are tons worse than the occasional bong load. I’m not saying it’s stupid to not smoke pot, I only disagree with those who say pots a negative thing.

I never said that you were stupid or that I didn't understand your reasons for taking it, I just don't like it. I don't smoke either, for the same reasons. At least you don't take it just because you can or whatever. :)

I know some people who have really been fucked up by drugs and the whole culture of drug taking. I mean it like water isnt inherently bad or anything but you can still drown yourself with it. So for myself personaly, coz Im a pretty addictive personality, ive just made the decision to stay away from drugs altogether just so I avoid getting myself in a mess. But yeah I certainly think that you shouldnt bag something just because of socially constructed bias, and like you said cigarettes do far more damage and no one send you to jail for farming tobacco.
November 7, 200322 yr I voted no because as a singer I try to stay away from any kind of smoking. I used to smoke cigars, but everytime I had one, it affected my voice, so I stopped. It just wasnt worth it.

I just popped that reply to give another perspective; smoking weed isn't stupid, some people that smoke weed are. I didn't want you all to picture me as some addict with pale skin in the corner of a beat up apartment with needles hanging out of me. :P

I feel the same way about alcohol as I do about weed and other drugs, so maybe I'm just old-fashioned, I don't know. :P
