local bands or finding a new band

Featured Replies

have you ever gone to a concert and the main act had an incredible opening band play for them?

i love when that happens and you fall upon a new band or music and such.

alot of local bands are good but people dont hear of them because they arent on the radio...

anyone else experienced this?

WHEN I WENT TO THE TORI AMOS CONCERT HOWIE DAY OPENED UP AND HE WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN SHE WAS. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF HIM BEFORE THE CONCERT BUT I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIS MUSIC AFTERWARDS. HE IS REALLY GOOD.

Ive been seeing a fair few local acts recently, a few of them have been pretty good. I get annoyed how lots of people have this 'im too cool to get into the support band' mentality. I mean sure if they are shit then thats fair enough but at least give them ago.

There was this great retro sounding rock band in Adelaide called Hummel which I saw supporting another band and they were much better than the band they were supporting. Unfortunately they folded a few months later, so I only got to see them a couple of times. Man they should have kept at it they could have made it!

yeah i found out about a good few bands this way :)

I know a good local band :D My friend Tom's band Kaico Green, they are thumbs up folks.
