i hope i can get the dvd tomorrow and watch it over and over and over again.

I'm never going to watch another dvd on the big screen again, no matter how much I like the band.

Because I went to see the Our Lady Peace dvd in the theatre and I thought it sucked major monkey bum and they're my favorite band. :/

I thought the coldplay DVD was AWESOME in the theatre. Even though it did piss some people off because they only played half of it, I still loved it. Just seeing them up on the big screen completely reminded me of the concert I went to back in May. So I had lots of fun. Oh, and my two lucky friends that I got the tickets for won coldplay prizes. One got 2 singles and a signed picture, the other one got AROBTTH Vinyl which i'm sooo jealous of. lol. it's so nice. i got nothing  BUT, whatever, I still got to see Coldplay on the big screen so it's all good. :D

I really enjoyed it! I loved the big sound...loved all the different camera angles which made it rather fast paced...perhaps trying to capture some of the excitement of a live performance.

Here, in Winnipeg, they showed most of the "documentary" part and then finally after all that suspense came the concert from Sydney. I think the director did a good job... it was stylized (switching from grayscale to colour to red to colour, ...). I didn't think it was boring and didn't lose interest (which is what I was afraid of!).

After the show, hmv was selling the DVD for $20, taxes in! Not bad at all!

why did the only show half of it? If they did that here i wouldn`t bother going

but they didn`t show it in our piece of land

oh, one more thing.. i thought the bass (ie Guy!) sounded fantastic! I'll have to try that out on my stereo when I finally get the DVD.

I also thought that they didn't show enough of Guy during the concert. Obviously the majority of shots were on Chris (no complaints here!), then came Jonny and a bit of Will but hardly any Guy!

Oh, and I liked how in the documentary they interspersed Guy's recitation of all the different countries they've been to on this tour...although I don't recall hearing him mention Canada...

oops...scatterbrain-me forgot to mention the November issue of "Famous" (the magazine handed out at Famous Players Theatres in Canada) has a nice full-page ad of the Coldplay Live DVD launch show (ie the one on Nov 10th).. excellent shot of the band, however I'm not sure how to post it here (anyone? anyone? bueller?), so follow this link to get an idea of it (as long as the link is still up).
