My name is Matt, and I am married, from Jacksonville FL. My wife and I are both avid Coldplay fans. We love other performers too, Linkin Park, Counting Crows, John Mayer, Imogen Heap, Adele among others. But Coldplay has a special place in our hearts.

We've seen them live three times. The first time was in Atlanta back in 2008, and we we're absolutely blown away; neither of us realized that a concert could be that amazing. We've seen Jewel, 3 Doors Down, Imogen Heap, Linkin Park, Counting Crows, various Jazz musicians live, but the combination of all those concerts still couldn't hold a candle to Coldplay. We also saw them twice in London back in 2009. We were only going to see them once, but as all great trips do, we improvised and decided to get some floor tickets for the Friday night show, and that had to be two of the greatest hours of our lives. If you haven't seen them live, you just haven't truly experienced them. Having seen so many live acts, Coldplay truly immerses each audience member in their music, like the show is only for them.

It would have been four times, but the Tampa concert in 2009 was cancelled unfortunately.

As you'll see in my posts, I am definitely an overly positive Coldplay fan, I really can find no fault in their music; I find meaning and relevance from every lyric and note, and I've never heard a Coldplay song I didn't like.

If I had to pick my favorite Coldplay song, I might go with Trouble. There's just something about Chris's soft voice at the piano that is magical to me (I'm sure I'm not the only one). As for my username, I chose this because I realized recently that Fix You truly does fix me. Specifically the live version from the LeftRightLeftRight CD. When I've had a rough day, or I'm going through something stressful, that song just makes me right. So one day that version may overtake Trouble, but probably not until I stop doing and saying stupid things that get me into Trouble.

As for non-Coldplay related things about me, I'm an IT guy, love sports, mainly baseball and football. If there is one thing I am more avid about than Coldplay, it is Florida State University Athletics, you name it, I know it about them. My other sports teams are the Atlanta Braves and Green Bay Packers (been one since the early '90's, no bandwagon fan here).

Well that is me, I'm also a bit long-winded, but I look forward to sharing this and hopefully several more LP's with you in the future.
