  • Lol I haven't been here in 5 years but I decided to pop my head back in for some nostalgia. Seems like this was my last post so here's an update... I finally saw Radiohead live in Manchester in 2017 a

oh yes...especially if a band creates songs like "Pop is dead"

hehe, i actually liked this song after a couple of times of hearing it

*checks Google for Pop is dead... realises its actually an actual song by Radiohead!*

my god :stunned:

Oh yes.. and that video.. :P

Cheers mate. I'm guessing you're Nik, si? :)

:o

the Pablo Honey period was the band's growing up time, they made some good songs, but the rest was quite average (under average i mean stuff like Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, Oasis do now). if we compare that time to the later stuff...well, it's ompletely different. we can't even say it's the same band ;)

i know what u mean, i've always thought their new stuff is much more mature but still, i happen to like their old stuff, for instance i used to hate pablo honey but for the past two weeks, i've been listening to nothing but it, their older albums are much easier to understand too

The Bends is brilliant. it dosnt get better than Fake plastic trees and Street spirit and my new obssession Bullet Proof...I wish i was.

One of the best things to do is trying to figure out the meanings of the songs.

Pablo Honey is still way better than On A Friday-stuff "Happy Song" freaks me out..and "I'm Coming Up" too..

but i always turn up with a completly different meaning than its original meaning

Exactly. You can come up with a different meaning, I can come up with a different meaning, Tim down the road can come up with a different meaning , etc

Pablo is the best stuff that On A Friday have ever done, if you get what i mean :nice:

yes i agree, the old songs are pretty simple actually. both sound and lyrics, but still very decent stuff.

The Bends is actually one of the best brit pop albums ever

i just seen the Pop is dead video, all i have to say is oh...my...god!

although somtimes its hard to understand what he says...

true, misheard lyrics. though Coldplay have some as well i think, like many other artists too ;)
