RADIOHEAD RELEASE NEW SINGLE “NUDE” ON XL RECORDINGS ON MARCH 31st...

8:45pm Today

...AND THE BAND WILL PLAY A FREE CONCERT AT THE BBC ON APRIL 1.

Radiohead will release their new single "Nude" on XL Recordings on March 31st.

The single, taken from their No 1 album "In Rainbows", is available on 7", CD and to download.

The 7" b side is "4 Minute Warning" and the CD also features "Down Is The New Up"; both tracks were previously only available on the "In Rainbows" box set. The "Nude" UK single will also be available on iTunes in the US on April 1.

Radiohead will be giving fans the opportunity to do their own remix of "Nude", details of which will be announced soon.

On April 1, the group will play a very special free concert for BBC Radio 2 at the BBC Radio Theatre, which is in Broadcasting House in central London. Fans can apply for tickets until Thursday March 13 by calling 08700 100 200. Other BBC radio networks will also be giving away tickets on air. Recipients will be chosen randomly.

Some tickets will also be available from http://www.radiohead.com. Tickets through both the BBC and the website are available only to fans based in the UK.

The group tour North America starting on May 5th and start a European tour in Dublin on June 6. They return to the US in August and will take the tour to Japan in October.

I'll definitely be getting the single.......2 of the bonus songs can legally be mine....without paying $80.

But arrrrghhhh, I hate it when things like this happens!!!

I won't be able to buy it. :( I don't have iTunes aaand I don't live in the UK or USA. And I doubt music shops will order it. Unless someone would send it to me ... :D :smart:

why wouldn't music shops order radiohead? Stupido shop here will. gosh I love that shop.

no idea ... :\ i hate our local shop because everything gets here with delay ... and one i ordered something that wasn't there, and the shopkeeper didn't send my request for a cd for one month. then i bought that cd elsewhere.

BUT I've found this dallas music shop which has "Radiohead Amnesiac" written on the shop-window. woot! So they might order it. I hope.

Cant you order it from Waste then? Or mayb E-bay?!

Ah well.. i wont order it, ive got the discbox already :)

ebay? nah.

waste? perhaps, but i don't have an unlimited budget. i'm saving up money for summer!!

I'll probably just order it through HMV UK.

Trent Reznor attacks Radiohead for download release

Nine Inch Nail says 'In Rainbows' was 'insincere'

Nine Inch Nails mainman Trent Reznor has criticised the unconventional release of Radiohead’s album 'In Rainbows', dubbing it "insincere."

Reznor’s comments come a week Nine Inch Nails released a set of instrumental tracks 'Ghosts I-IV' that included a similar free download option.

Yesterday (March 12), the band’s website had processed 781,917 transactions, and had sold out of the 2,500 box sets being sold for $300, according to the Chicago Tribune.

However, speaking on the subject of Radiohead to American TV Network ABC, Reznor said: "What they (Radiohead) did was a cool thing. But if you look at what they did, though, it was very much a bait and switch to get you to pay for a MySpace-quality stream. There's nothing wrong with that - I but don't see that as a big revolution [that] they're kinda getting credit for."

Reznor added: "What they did right: they surprised the world with a new record, and it was available digitally first. What they did wrong: by making it such a low quality thing, not even including artwork ... to me that feels insincere."

Unlike Radiohead after the release of ‘In Rainbows’, Reznor decided to make his album's sales figures public.

yeah ... similar here ... since my dad bought me a camera we've agreed that i'd pay for my room, training etc. by myself, so i usually don't save up much.

but you know, i've decided to travel somewhere further this summer, and deciding between travelling and buying cds was quite easy for me. it's now and/or perhaps never again, so ...

albums will have to wait.

I bet if i go on vacation with my friend i will mostly buy cd's.. I always do that when i go shopping
