March 23, 200818 yr Haha, well this is basically like winning the lottery, but free. There's a 99.9% chance I won't get in, but it's worth a shot. Only a few random things like this pop up every year though, but this is the first time I remember Radiohead doing a free concert. Forgotten about the free concert they did in January at 93 Feet East?
March 23, 200818 yr Does anyone have any Towering Above The Rest uploaded on the web? I'm missing some CDs ... :( Edit: 8th and 15th CDs are missing.
March 23, 200818 yr Forgotten about the free concert they did in January at 93 Feet East? This year? I guess I missed it. It would help if I had a TV / radio though, I only found out about the April 1st gig because of this thread.
March 23, 200818 yr What is everyone's favorite experimental Radiohead album? That would be anything after OK Computer. I think my personal favorite is Kid A, although In Rainbows is also a great album.
March 24, 200818 yr Radiohead deny Glastonbury rumours Thursday, March 13 2008, 16:42 GMT By Alex Fletcher, Entertainment Reporter Rex Features Radiohead's Thom Yorke has denied rumours that the band pulled out of Glastonbury on environmental grounds. It was claimed last month that the Oxford rockers didn't want to play the event because it didn't meet their expectations on local transport infrastructure. However, the singer has responded to the reports by claiming his words were "taken out of context". He said the only reason the group wouldn't play the bash was because it is too soon after their headline show there in 2003. Writing on his official blog, Yorke said: "My words were taken out of context and implied we were not playing Glastonbury because there was no public transport infrastructure. Well that's b*****ks. "I mentioned that we were not playing Glastonbury this year but were doing our own shows in London. Not because of transport issues but because the festival-goers at Glastonbury were more than likely sick of the sight of us. "It felt a little early to be doing it again, we felt as if we had only just played there." Yorke's interview last month was conducted by The Sun newspaper. He claimed the tabloid's owner Rupert Murdoch was one of his "least favourite people". The singer also revealed that he had apologised to Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis over the mix-up. He said: "I have been talking to the Eavises about this and apologised for any misunderstanding and they are totally cool with it. "Today Emily & Michael sent me though some stuff about how they are trying to minimise car use as much as they can...with buses and train trips etc. To be honest it's pretty impressive. They have obviously been busting a gut about it. I wish more people were thinking as hard them."

I think my personal favorite is Kid A, although In Rainbows is also a great album. kid A. it's the best thing since sliced bread. no, pringles :laugh3: i can't believe it took me so long to listen to that album. i was always a bit intimidated by its weirdness and was a bit afraid to check it out. but now it's one of the best things i've ever listened to ever. i think OK computer is overrated as an album, though it has amazing songs. "let down" is my favorite radiohead song out there.

"let down" is my favorite radiohead song out there.Seconded. I listened to OK Computer for the first time in August 2006 and that song has stayed with me ever since.
March 24, 200818 yr Let Down is one of the best songs made by them. :) But SHA and Exit Music are  too! :nice:
March 24, 200818 yr After almost 4 years of knowing them i still dont know which song i like the most..mayb karma police, exit music, climbing up the walls, eeiirp, idioteque, or weird fishes.. :(
March 25, 200818 yr OKC was my first RH album but I kinda picked up the songs in an odd order. Subterranian Homesick alien, Climbing up the walls and Electioneering were my favorates at first, it took me a few looks at the lyrics to realise why Let Down was so brilliant. Oh I remember discovering RH for the first time, what a great experience and one that I sadly will never be able to repeat. :(
March 25, 200818 yr i'd just like to express my displeasure in the fact that THEY HAVE STILL NOT ANNOUNCED THE 2ND LEG OF THE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR!!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER!
March 25, 200818 yr I think OK Computer is a bit overrated as well The bends is my favorite. Then kid a then in rainbows then ok computer/ HTTT Even though last time i listened to OKC it was better than i previously thought
March 25, 200818 yr Oh I remember discovering RH for the first time, what a great experience and one that I sadly will never be able to repeat. :( :( I know what you mean. :(
March 25, 200818 yr In rainbows is great. Finding it hard to get into kid A. Hail to the theif only had a few good tracks like There ther etc
March 25, 200818 yr i'd just like to express my displeasure in the fact that THEY HAVE STILL NOT ANNOUNCED THE 2ND LEG OF THE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR!!!!!!!!! I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER! ditto. i thought we would have had it by now. why is this taking so long? even coldplay released most of the album information by now! i figured we would have gotten the RH tour dates before that happened.
March 25, 200818 yr All our favourite bands seem to be particularly slow off the mark this time around. Apart from Travis that is, I didn't see that one coming I'll give you that. So it's not surprising that I'm hearing RH taking their time with announcing these dates. Silence & lack of communication seem to be the latest trends these days. [/short_rant_over]
March 26, 200818 yr The apartments that I live in provide this concierge service that has the purpose of getting the best seats for things like concerts, sports events, opera... etc. So I emailed them to see if they had any available tickets for Radiohead. I have four already, but I wanted to see if maybe I could upgrade for better seats with that concierge service b/c they promise the best seats. I paid forty bucks a ticket plus service and delivery fees which put them at about fifty bucks a ticket for the show at the Pavilion. Mine are lawn seats. (the worse ones) i'm glad I bought mine early.... i can't believe how much they are charging for LAWN spaces! You have to bring your own chair! wow. I'm still pretty excited and plan on running upstage anyway! He emailed me this in return: Hi Crystal, It would be my pleasure to assist you with your search for Radiohead tickets for May 17th at the Woodlands Pavilion. As you know this concert is sold out due to being one of the biggest concerts of the year. I do have some premium tickets available. The rates are as follows. Lawn seating $91 - $117 per ticket (Lawn Level 2 seating $118 - $295 per ticket (Sec JJ-VV) Level 1 seating $320 - $1069 (Sec A-HH) As I said before these are extremely high demand tickets, so the ticket prices reflect the demand. If you would like me to secure any of these tickets please let me know. I have included the seating chart below.
March 27, 200818 yr that's ridiculous - you have to bring your own chair if you buy the tickets now?! ugh.
March 27, 200818 yr There's no way I would pay $320 - $1069 to see ANY live band... especially when it concerns seated spots.
