Now look, I LIKE the songs, I do. But it's not Coldplay.

drake and lil wayne are the next in line for a remix or a collaboration

just think about lil wayne over the ETIAW beat, he's perfect for this song he got a teardrop tattoo on his face LOL

this

Jay Z and Beyonce are part of the New World Order. Look up New World Order in music on Youtube. There are lots of examples of music videos.

too bad coldplay joined them too,so all i can count on now is me my parents some friends and my job and yes they have been badly influenced but i assure you its not JZ or someone else

Re 'para...para...paradise'. Check out the song by the same title released by Phil Collins years before Jay-Z,lol.

But I'd be much happier without all the rap influences on Coldplay/Chris. It'sall a part of their experimentation/evolution, so I don't fault them/him, but I'd prefer their sound remain more organic. (And remember I like the new songs.)

I won't mention the worst influence on CM, imo, but let's just say self-important, holier-than-though people who think they're superior to everyone else CAN'T be good for Chris. ;)

Not a big fan of Chris's exuberance and adulation of Beyonce and Jay-Z, let alone Rhianna - to be frank - their music is unoriginal or produced wholly by someone else, and manufactured to sell albums not for the sake of art - and top it off they're arrogant about it - e.g. Beyonce stating that Kanye was just defending art when he interrupted Taylor's speech at the MTV VMA's - Beyonce's music... art!?? Give me a break - it's crap rap or R and BS to sell albums. Don't get me started on Jay-Z - without the music or samples - he's just a guy rapping (i.e. not singing) about money, chicks, being awesome, and how everyone else sucks, more bling, - it's entertainment for the lowest common denominator - and to hear Jonny and Chris extol these "artists" esp. Beyonce and Jay-Z is a disgrace, and utter brainwashing (perhaps thanks to Gwyneth).

For the Brits out there, I am Indian, and I've always thought the best music to come out in the last 100 years has been from the UK/Ireland - what is up with Coldplay not believing in themselves, and thinking Jay-Z, Beyonce, or Rhianna (who are entertainers, not musicians or artists) are the greatest thing since sliced bread? It boggles the mind.

I shudder to think about the future collaborations in the R/B and hip hop world (that music is pretty much crap, R/B from the 50s, 60s, and 70s was much better in terms of quality, and content to be fair).

^Perhaps thanks to Gwyneth"

My guess is their music would be far less poppy and wouldn't involve all this crap is she didn't have an influence. I KNOW I'm getting hate for this. And I KNOW most think she's just lovely, but musically, she was the worst thing to happen to Coldplay. There, I said it.

I think Rihanna will take coldplay to a whole new level of creativeness and superstardom

I don't have any problem with Chris's friendship with Z and Beyoncé, as long as he understands that they have an style and are awesome at it, and Coldplay had its style and was awesome at it. Lost+ was nice, but the Rihanna collaboration is a bit too much, I think. Hopefully, it will be awesome.

Jay-Z, Kanye, and Drake are arguably the best MC's out there. They might be a contributing factor in fucking up Chris, but it's a combination of many things.

I think Chris Martin ruined Chris Martin.

Care to ellaborate? Not starting anargument. Just curious how you think that happened.

Me too… why everybody cry about the Rihanna song!? Have you hear the song?

And now they cry and say: this is not Coldplay etc. but would they make a album like AROBTTH, you would cry and say its nothing new, everytime the same like on the last album etc.

Coldplay try out new things… whats wrong!?

So take it easy and be excited about the new album!

Jesus...

They wrote their first four and got successful. That was good Coldplay.

Chris wants to write music in the vein of Paradise. Jay-Z never told him to write a song like dis because they did their own little version of Lost. Sure he's chilling with his fellow celebrities, but they don't really have that much of a say in it. If anyone's marginally close to blame, it's Brian Eno's actual hands-on influence on here.

One of the reasons for which precisely a despise the Rihanna collaboration on Mylo Xyloto is because now all the press are talking of such collaboration only and say nothing about the album. So basically Coldplay is attracting attention just because they have teamed up with Rihanna, not because the song or the album is great.

I don't care if Kanye, Jay-Z, Drake, Blake, Bizzy-B are the best MC's, AC's, CD's, MD's, for that matter out there - what do they do? they speak not sing words about the stupidest things out there - and then people actually buy that crap - look at Otis by Kanye and Jay-Z, what are they "rapping or MC'ing" about - nothing except how great they are - who cares? and they use an Otis Redding sample (a true musician/artist) to give them credibility. Rap is crap, it adds nothing to the art of music except who can find the next hot sample (i.e. someone else's creative work) and speak a bunch of words over them, and sell the song to the dumb masses. Look at the hot 100 billboard over the last decade and a half - really great and worthy songs are no longer tops in the chart - it's always some collaboration btwn Jay-Z or Kanye with some other bubble gum popstar or some other rapper. It's stupid - it's the downfall of music.

Jay Z reversing Forever Young into Young Forever was another low point - yeah he's a genius for that (I couldn't believe Jonny thought Jay-Z was a genius for his verse on Lost, and just in general). - I agreed with Noel Gallagher - what is Jay-Z (and Beyonce for that matter) doing at Glastonbury - if you can't play an instrument or play your own music, or at least create it then take that crap elsewhere.

I don't understand Coldplay's fascination with these "hip-hop" entertainers - they're not musicians, not creating the music or even playing instruments. they're just arrogant people who have the audacity to go out and sing about how great they are when they can't even play an instrument. it makes no sense. I fear more collaborations with hip hop and Beyonce and company in the future. Good lord...

THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING

I'M NOT ALONE ANYMORE
