October 16, 201114 yr Hi, so me and my friends are on film and TV courses at Westminster university and I cover a lot of Coldplay songs. I'm thinking about shooting a simple video for a new cover of Christmas Lights on the Thames and I want to paint my keyboard to look like the one from the original video and MX era. My keyboard is the Yamaha PSR E413, its all slippery plastic basically, does anyone have any ideas how I could get my keyboard looking cool? This is just an idea right now so this video may or may not happen... Thanks youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/Tomahawk1505?feature=mhee Jack
October 16, 201114 yr I was thinking about doing the same thing....I think you should spray it in white first for a bass and then use hand paints to get the desired mx effect, If you want something to look at when working on it, these may come in handy :) Take a pic when done!
October 16, 201114 yr Author Hey thanks! thats great, I was thinking about painting the keys but its a risk because it could just come off on my fingers.. The keyboard body however should be fine, I mmght try to copy the pic you just sent. Any ideas on whay paint I should use? Also, did you take those pics?
October 16, 201114 yr I think acrylic paint would be a good option for anything you want to put on top of the base, also maybe you should get some spray for the keys as well as the body (so you don't get paint on your fingers :D ) I wish I took those pictures but no :(
October 16, 201114 yr I used acrylic on my guitar which was varnished smooth, seems to stick really well, and it doesn't show anything underneath it.
