Mimixxx
Coldplay have broken a pre-order record that was previously held by Adele. The band have become the most pre-ordered act of 2011 with their upcoming album Mylo Xyloto on Amazon UK. The record is the most pre-ordered disc this year so far and knocked Adele's multi-million-selling LP 21 off the top spot. "Despite a gap of three years since their last album, Coldplay are back with a bang," said Paul Firth, head of music buying at Amazon UK. "2011 has been Adele's year, but pre-orders of Mylo Xyloto have pushed Chris Martin's band to the top of Amazon.co.uk's music chart even before release, keeping recent releases from Noel Gallagher and Matt Cardle off the top spot." Mylo Xyloto is Coldplay's fifth studio album and will be released in the UK on October 24 and the US on October 25. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/news/a346791/coldplay-beat-adele-pre-order-record-with-new-album-mylo-xyloto.html
