Waking up thinking you have school when you don't.

Featured Replies

You guys ever wake up in the morning during the winter thinking you have school...

You have the awful feeling like "Shit, I'm so tired and now I have to get out of bed and go to this awful place" and then realize, "OH WAIT. We have a snow day!"

That fast transition from sadness to happiness is an amazing feeling.

Sometimes for some reason in the middle of the night I'll wake up and have that feeling that school is the next day and then suddenly I remember that it is the weekend and I get so happy.

I LOVE THIS FEELING SO MUCH.

Sometimes I set my alarm clock for 6:30 AM on a Saturday (like how I do when there is school) just to wake up, realize it's not a school day and go back to sleep. BUT IT'S NOT THE SAME. I don't really get that feeling. I know it is the weekend somehow immediately when I wake up. I wake up to my alarm clock and say, "It's the weekend. Why did I set my alarm?", turn it off and go to sleep. It's not the same feeling.

Is there any way I can trick my body into thinking I have school when I wake up, just to realize that it is the weekend? :stunned: Pretty weird question I know...

Try actually getting up and going to school like normal on Saturdays and Sundays until it's a habit.

Then stop.

hmm..one time it was Friday afternoon and I went to sleep when it was still daylight, and I woke up at around 9pm that same day thinking it was the next morning already, but I thought I was running late on a school day so I changed real quick and practically ran to the living room only to see my siblings watching tv and looking at me all strange. Then I realized they were watching a primetime tv show at night, and I quietly went back to my room and went back to sleep. :P

Today something similar happened to me:

I set the alarm for 11AM and I woke up when it rang thinking it was 7h30AM and I had to get out of bed and go to school. One second later I realized it was saturday and I slept a little bit more! :nice:

This is awesome specially during those rainny days in winter :awesome:

Replace School with Work then yes

My body clock sometimes loses sense of days of the week, so some Saturday/Sundays I wake up 7am, only to try and force myself to go back to sleep.

You know what's worse? Waking up thinking you don't have school when you do.

That's the worst feeling ever.

I love love love love this.

Happened this morning, actually. :D

Happened to me this morning too. xD
