At first: I like the sound of your guitar pickups! Mine do sound a way more metallic (which I love, too). Your voice doesn't sound so precise when singing the low parts and the very high parts, you can work on that (it's the same problem with my voice). However, I like your singing during the chorus (I assume it's the chorus; never heard the original). The voice sometimes sounds a bit like theres a phaser on it or something, did you want it to sound like that?

Cheers for the crit! I absolutely love Takamine guitars when it comes to electronics. There's plate reverb on my voice and I sing the verses an octave down from the original, but I definitely agree about needing to improve my lows, I can only really sing with any power right at the top of my range at the moment.

Funny I did one too : D

But I based on the Jools Holland performance as I assume it was the best. Or one of the best.

Guitar is great. If it's about the voice it doesn't match my taste sometimes but well I think it's very emotional and requiring song so it's understandable.

Sounds special with a brit accent :)

Nonetheless, love the guitar! Your singing is okay, chorus is better than verse. I too find it hard to sing in my lows.

With that said, I think you're doing a good job, it's a really hard song to sing perfectly. No one can do it as good as Justin. :)

which tuning is this?

It's in an open C tuning.

C-G-E-G-C-C

Be careful with it though, the high E string has a tendency to break when it gets tuned so low, particularly on lighter gauge strings.

That's the one. It always amazes me that I break way more E strings tuning them down than B strings tuning them up, & I tune my B string up allot.
