I have been trying like hell to put a avatar on, i never have any problems any where else but here it just won't let me. I can't get the picture down to the 150x150 that it says it has to be. Any pointers on how i can get a picture in would be great!!

Do you have Microsoft Photo Editor?

you can use miscrosoft paint as well. that`s what i do.

I find that paint increases the file size of the picture for some reason.

Ok i think i got it, I couldn't get the picture to work with the whole group though, so i had to pick out another one, but that's ok i'll try and figure it out later i just wanted to get a picture in there in the mean time. Thanks for your help!!

You also can use Photoshop. I always use it for that. If you don't have it, I can re-size you some pic, if you want...

I tend to do a search on google or ask.co.uk and search for pics, and upload my avitars taht way.

Well the thing is i had photoshop i had the downloadable one but that ran out and i'm saving my money to buy the acutal program, so in the mean time i have this crappy program that can't do nothing.

I too use MS Paint. It's the most basic software for such work out there, but it gets the job done for at least this sort of application. :-)

 

and nope, for me it never increases the file size. also, in one of the pull-down menus up on top, there is a way of knowing how big (pixel-wise) your file is....click the "attributes..." button under "Image" drop-down menu.

I just started to wander about this, it's kinda doesn't have anything to do with photoshop..lol..but what are the headphones above the avatar picture? what are those about? i know they have to do with your post count but like how many post do you have to have in order to fill one of those up?? just thought i'd ask since i'm here.. :D
