Of for fucks sake. I wondered when I wrote that if it was fair to call you a fucking moron, now I know I was right- because I didn't say that because we disagree with eachother, it's because you childishly called me a weirdo for no reason in what had been a perfectly reasonable debate, and thats frustrating, so I thought I'd make it clear you don't just do that. If you actually think I said that because I disagree with your opinion then you are a fucking moron.

As for the debate, I'm not responding right now, not sure if I want to ever, because you are clearly twisting what you've previously said in favour of your suddenly new and more reasonable outlook, that's also frustrating.

I haven't changed my outlook at all. You completely misinterpreted a post of mine that no one else had a problem with.

I was joking when I called you a weirdo because you had misinterpreted what I said so badly that you thought you were discrediting me by agreeing with me. "Weirdo" is not a serious term at all.

I apologise that you were offended by being called a weirdo.

Well aside from this lovely / horrible debate, since someone bumped my thread I'll give you an update.

I'm pretty good friends with this dude now. We hang out quite a bit and he always strikes me as one of the most interesting people I've met. He's quite the fellow.

Anyway, I actually had the opportunity to go to one of his sermons. While I rarely attend church I leapt at the opportunity because I thought it would be pretty cool to see a friend do something like that.

HOLY CRAP he's a good minister. He got everyone excited to worship, he was approachable and even went through the trouble of shaking the hand of each and every person attending the service. You could tell that everyone really identified with him. So, all in all, it was a pretty positive experience. I probably won't go again, just because churches make me uncomfortable and it's so early in the morning. But I'm thankful to have been able to experience it.

I eventually asked him how long he was there after the service, and he stuck around for about 10 hours to spend the day with a group of church-goers who lost their child in a miscarriage, when it was completely optional. I waited around to see when he would be finished, and I gave up after about an hour. He seemed really, really eager to help despite his co-ministry (I don't know if that's what they're called or whatever) leaving their problems until the next business day.

Aside from that, he's just been a really good, genuine friend. In fact, I don't think I've ever had a friend who actually, genuinely cares when asking how my day went. It makes me feel bad, because I'm most definitely a shittier friend than that. Oh well. I'm really blessed to know him and he never fails to humble me.

This whole thing screams of bow-chicka-wa-wa.

Even though this man is undoubtedly an amazing person, he totally wants to fuck you. He's still a man.

That was totally appropriate. I can tell you're just full of tact.

I wonder how this would be a different discussion if he were straight or female.

I'm never wrong about things like this, I feel it in my bones. He is going to ask you on a date eventually.

I'll give you $20 if he doesn't and I will accept I was wrong and apologise.

Also, if he was straight he wouldn't be being so nice to you. Two straight males don't have relationships like that. If he was a girl, and was being this nice to you, the chances of wanting to slam you would be still high but not as high. Because men are more perverted. Duh.

  • Author

And gay men are the most perverted of all, naturally.

I never said that, you're getting awfully defensive..

It's biology. He is attracted to men. He has a relationship with you that straight men don't have with one another. I think he wants you to be his lover.

I've made my wager. We'll see.

  • Author

Wait straight men can't be friends?

Crap I must be REALLY gay then.

really. really.

I never knew that people being genuine and nice meant they wanted to have sex with you.

You're blowing what I am saying out of proportion and I think you know I'm right but refuse to admit it.

I don't think that either of us actually automatically jump from "wow, this guy is really nice" to "he wants sex".

I don't think that either of us actually automatically jump from "wow, this guy is really nice" to "he wants sex".

Of course not, but I'm just telling Brent that I think this guy has motives. I've read all of what Brent has typed about him and it doesn't seem like a normal relationship to me at all.

I think the man's actions have been motivated by a desire to be in a romantic relationship with Brent. Judging from Brent's reaction, I think Brent knows more than he is telling us. But that's fair enough, he doesn't have to tell some idiot like me anything.

Those are my thoughts. Feel free to laugh at me. I understand how annoying I am being, but I'm just speaking my mind baybay.

I'm curious as to how friendly you are with people when you don't want to have sex with them.

I'm friendly, but I don't scoop them under my wing, act like a mentor, teach them about the world and I certainly wouldn't "genuinely care" about what happened during their day. I also wouldn't say I'm "blessed" to know them.

I'm a bit of a dick though. My mates and I never show any form of affection for one another unless something horrible has happened.

So what the hell do I know.

I think this Jawr guy wants to have sex with me

I think you may be gay. Nothing wrong with that at all.

But if you are gay, I think you'd be the "hard to get" type who isn't quite sure and wouldn't want to have anything to do with me.

I'd never be able to get you :(.

I'm blessed to know everyone. I'm blessed to have a roof over my head and I'm blessed to have a group of friends who care. I'm blessed to have a family, I'm blessed to have an education, and I'm blessed to be healthy. I'm quite lucky. I consider myself an optimist, and if that makes me super gay then so be it.

Next thing you know I'll be dressed in drag wearing a feather boa lip-syncing Lady Gaga songs for singles. You know, since I'm optimistic.

That's called being immature.

Probably because you box yourself into an awkward chasm of a social situation, not admit fault and snowball the issue because you're too proud to admit you said something stupid. So, in other words, it's not me: It's you.

you're getting awfully defensive..

I'm getting defensive here because this guy to me deserves a lot of respect: It has nothing to do with anyone's sexual orientation. And for you to imply that there's any perversion there is grossly inappropriate and pretty offensive to me. He's a good guy, and to equate that to him wanting to "fuck" me is pretty ignorant.

Let's end this conversation because we are just going in circles.

Attention all: If I've ever been nice to you, I want to have sex with you. Hard and fast.

Dude, I think you're over stepping it. Shut the fuck up and know your place. Thanks.

lol, okay okay.

I didn't mean anything by it.

I'm out, peace

and i'm sorry if I offended anyone. I was just joking around.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minister_(Christianity)

a minister is someone who is authorized by a church or religious organization to perform functions such as teaching of beliefs ... or otherwise providing spiritual guidance to the community.

My mates and I never show any form of affection for one another unless something horrible has happened.

I'm sorry that your idea of gender roles makes you believe that in order to be a 'real guy' you have to be reserved and emotionless, and a man that does otherwise is obviously after 'the secks'
