I am a new member, but I still do understand differences between peoples' opinions of bands. One example is the two above - many have compared coldplay to radiohead, and vice versa.

so I decided to make a thread dedicated to both of em', because I don't think they're the same personally

I...I just don't get why you couldn't have posted in the thread aptly titled 'the radiohead thread'. Mind bottling.

Well, first off , the radiohead thread name is now cliched and all threads are called that.

ALSO, It's not just radiohead it's coldplay aswell

This isn't arguing about which one's best - it's just talking and sharing news, right?

...but this is a coldplay forum, why do we need a coldplay thread?

Okay I'm just gonna roll with this. I think Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head are both very clearly influenced by Radiohead's 90s material. That is where the comparison ends though. I don't see the point in this thread but fair enough.
