Tupac Hologram Performs at Coachella 2012!

A Coldplay hologram would be interesting...

So basically we pay $75, to watch a stage manager hit "play," launching a preconceived, cookie-cutter set performed by a computerized double, while Chris sits at home and twiddles Gwyneth's pubic hair with his ladyfingers on his faux-leather couch watching QVC?

No. It's enough that they've resorted to crappy gimmicks in their live shows like flashing the sign "PUT ON YOUR WRISTBANDS NOW" so you can look at the pretty lights so you can be distracted from para para's mundanity. They should at least be present.

As is the case for all artists. A concert is special because the artist is there, physically playing. You don't get the same from a cinematic projection.

^ I like the gimmicks :(, pretty lights and para-para, but everything else you said is perfect.

I wasn't speaking of a hologram concert, I was thinking more of a personal Coldplay hologram, what could be better than having a Coldplay hologram in your house (well except for actually having the real band in your house):D

“Elvis on stage with Justin Bieber would be a cool thing.”

ugh
