Coldplay VIP Package - Pics

Here are the contents of what the VIP ticket holders received when they bought the ticket packages.

T-shirt by Trunk brand

Lithograph

and

Mini MX keychain

After receiving this, I can't say that I'm too impressed with the packages contents. Wish they would've done something special with the lithograph (different image perhaps? I think the backdrop they used for the new graffiti tee would've been amazing). The tee isn't what I thought it would be, but oh well.

Yeah, we got the same stuff. 2 weeks after our show. I don't know why it took so long to ship out these trinkets - we ordered our tickets for the show in January and the show was in May!

The t-shirt quality isn't really the greatest, and the picture is just ok. I personally think that offering the VIP option is just a way for the fans to get tickets they probably would have had to go to scalpers to get for the same price. We paid $275 for tickets that would have cost $167, and they included the t-shirt, meaning we didn't have to buy one at the venue. The poster is nice enough and the keychain is cute. But we bought the VIP package to guarantee that we would get decent seats without the stress of the whole ticketmaster thing. I'd rather pay the money to Coldplay than to a scalper.

This is "Live Nation Vip" or ... ?

Yes, the Live Nation vip. We also got a souvenir lanyard with VIP pass (which really meant a big fat nothing) and a souvenir ticket.

Really? I JUST got mine on Friday and ONLY one of TWO packages. I have a feeling they forgot one...and I ordered mine in December. I did understand that we wouldn't get these before the show but a couple of weeks after not a couple of months. This was for their opener on April 17.

I agree with you on the tickets and seating allocations. I too would rather pay premium for "official" premium tickets rather than scalped tickets.

Did any of you experience the VIP pre party?

for VIP packages that costs nearly $300, i would at least expect a meet and greet with the band...

not just shirts and key chains and all the crap...

thanks so much for posting pictures. I got the vip package too and wass dyingggggg to know what I got!

are there tour dates on the back of the shirt?? that stinks it's not good quality!! I was psyched when I saw it was from Trunk because the shirts are actually well-known for luxurious quality. What a bummer.

Coldplay only "sells" meet and greets for charity, as auctions. There is one going on right now and the bidding was up to $750 last time I checked. I think they can get into the thousands of $$ range. I know Justin Bieber meet and greets were $350, through Live Nation. I think Jason Mraz m&g were about $300-350. Bands like Coldplay can command a lot more, which is why they auction them off.

Ah... Looks pretty similar to what it's been for the last couple tours. I guess it's either something you're into or not. Not my thing, but I could see how other people might like it.

To be fair, it's not advertised as a meet and greet. I wouldn't pay what they're asking for it, but it's not like they offered one thing and gave you another.:\

It's my thought that with a VIP package, you're paying for the guarantee of decent seats without having to go through a scalper or stub hub, because we all know the best seats go really fast. I think they just add the trinkets to make it seem like you're really getting something "special," and it is special - a limited edition tshirt, cool poster, little keychain, the lanyard, cool looking commemorative ticket. Like I said in a previous post, we paid $275 for really good seats when we weren't lucky enough to get them during the presale, as a "regular" ticket. The tickets had a face value of $167, and that $275 was much less than resellers/scalpers were getting, and we didn't have the headache or have to worry about counterfeit tickets. We didn't buy the $40 tshirts at merch, but we would have had it not been part of the package.

I never thought of it that way, but that makes a lot of sense.:)
