the monotony obviously serves some dodgy archaic needs, which i'm too lazy to trace but maybe some of you do know about?

all i do know is that, since i love to travel and many of those songs float like train rattle, my brain is being tricked into the

sensation of moving, which soothes my awesomely hyperactive travel compulsion.

but i think that's not all there is to it?!
