PHONE WIPED

Featured Replies

I have a blackberry curve, I had it password locked/protected.

One of my friends keeps guessing and says "what will happen after all the attempts are taken?"

So I say "I dunno, it'll lock?" -assuming it would.

Then after typing every Coldplay-included word in, the screen goes white and says wiping.

I've got all my pictures, songs and videos and some contacts. However I've lost all BBM (blackberry messenger) contacts, some phone contacts, all notes and calendar reminders -_-

Does anyone know how I can get those back?

P.S. I keep reading about back-up stuff, but to be honest I don't know what that is and so haven't done it.

Thanks

So, you deliberately tried doing this to see what happens?

Wow, that was really dumb. Why would you do that?

The only way to get the stuff back is if you had it backed up either to the cloud or to your computer. If not, it's gone. In a way you deserve it because that was really really REALLY stupid so I'd just laugh it off.

Old Trigger finger eh? Well if you get back into it it'll probably be reset to factory conditions. Try android next, and link your gmail account to it. Then you can lock yourself out as many times as you want without losing your identity :)

Its been wiped as a security measure. If you haven't backed it up than its all gone.

It was my friend, he is really strong and 6ft, I couldn't get it off him. He did do it on purpose -.-

Not your friend anymore, obviously

I hope this at least teaches you to utilise the back-up function

That's not nice..

But as David said above, it's all gone now.

If I'm honest, I'm not very technologicallised (if that's a word) and didn't know to back up things :/

But I will learn how to and what it is from now on.

My android devices have auto backup, backing up not only to the cloud but also to memory cards.
