May 15, 201313 yr Has anybody ever done these? My friend has been doing them and he seems to enjoy them. I'm unsure of their worth, but this isn't my major motivation for completing them. I want to do them to occupy me and to learn new things. I've previously used a site called Coursera which provides courses from big US universities such as Harvard, etc. I've only watched the videos (of three courses - one on an introduction to sociology, one on evolutionary biology and the other on neuroscience and drugs). I'm about to start a course on edx.org titled Human Health and Global Environmental Change, but this time I will be actually taking part in the work, rather than just dipping in and out of the course materials. I also hope (in September) to do two other courses on that site. Does anybody have any experience in these things? I imagine a lot of people will be studying at school, college and uni and so won't have time for these things. If anybody has I would appreciate their input on how good they are. And exactly how meaningful they are, though this is only a minor point.

Only relatively small things, take a month or so to do. Like a module really.

It's a two year course and the fees are €10,000. http://hiberniacollege.com/ I was advised to get my primary school teaching degree through it by my old primary school principle. But it might be a while before I save enough to be able to do it.
May 15, 201313 yr Author There were a lot of Irish people who came to do the teaching course in Lancaster when i was there. Not far from Manchester. Good gigs etc. They fitted in well. One girl was delighted as she had access to an abortion after she got pregnant during the Xmas holidays when she had been back home.

May 15, 201313 yr Well there's two other main primary school teaching colleges. One is Mary immaculate, and as you can tell by the name it is basically the Catholic one. And then the other is under trinity and is the seen as the Protestant one. And seeing as I'm practically both of those I can choose which ever one :charming: sorted.

They can broaden your horizon or give some indepth when a subject just gets touched in classes. My bf and me follow some for fun. The one on evolutionary biology from that site, my bf is following. I tried to, but it was all what I already got in my education so for me not worth it, but it looked good and I think it is really nice for people with another background. Doing statistics with R is nice. Because the lessons they offer here at university are so basic, it's nice to take courses in that online. You can also study things in your own tempo. I am planning in doing some soon.
