Came across this article by the Belfast Telegraph today:

It speculates that Coldplay will release a more "commercial" sounding album than Ghost Stories next year, followed by a tour next year as well.

I don't know if this is speculation or not, but if this is all true, this really is something to get excited about - another Coldplay album!

I know you're fairly new, but the whole topic has already been split into at least 5 other threads. Yes, the first week of the GS release and we already have 5 LP7 threads. I think they're all named with the word LP7 in them as well.
