Who has heard from them? Where are they from? I've just heard "Long Time coming" for a few times and the song is absolutely great... anyone got the album and can tell me what it sounds like ... :confused: ... sounds like one more fantastic band

Southampton four piece Delays released their debut single "Nearer Than Heaven" on 21.4.2003 through Rough Trade records. The band signed a deal in February 2003 with Geoff Travis's Rough Trade, home to the Strokes and Libertines.

"Nearer Than Heaven" was a critically acclaimed debut and is a classic piece of guitar pop, think Shack meets The Hollies meets Cocteau Twins and you're close to the mark.

Delays added to Isle Of Wight Festival

 

Despite organisers previously claiming that their lineup was complete, Delays have been added to Sunday's bill at the Isle Of Wight Festival...

 

The Southampton band join a closing day bill that also features headliners, Coldplay, plus Richard Ashcroft, Lou Reed, Maximo Park, KUBB, Procol Harum, CatHead, and Skyline Heroes.

 

Other acts playing over the three-day festival include The Prodigy, Foo Fighters, Primal Scream, Dirty Pretty Things, The Rakes, Editors, and The Kooks. Click here for the full lineup.

 

The Isle Of Wight Festival takes place on 9-11 June at Seaclose Park, nr Newport, Isle Of Wight. The festival is totally sold out.

Delays announce details of limited edition EP

Delays have announced they are to release a five track limited edition EP.

 

The record, titled 'Love Made Visible', will be released on November 5.

 

The Southampton band have also confirmed they are close to completing their new album. Due for an early 2008 release, 'Everything's The Rush' will be the follow-up to their 2006 album'You See Colours'.

 

Meanwhile, Delays hit the road in November.
