Ghaladan Posted February 23, 2004 Share Posted February 23, 2004 When you rent a VHS movie that's been watched 2000 times, the picture is often distorted and you have to play with it for 2 hours to get the damn movie to play. With a DVD, someone could play it 2000 times and the quaility of the video is just as good as the 1st time it was played, simply because nothing actually touches the surface of the DVD while it's being played, unlike a VHS where the tape head rubs against the tape, wearing it out.
