The thing about Shakespeare is you either love it or hate it.

I've only studied Macbeth and King Lear, and they were compulsory for GCSE and A-Level English Lit @ skool... They were good!

At uni last term we studied Othello - dark!

Agrees ! :D and I totally love Shakespeare. When I was in college, I watched a play for A Midsummer night dream. It was amazing... really funny ! (well, the director made it really funny).

How about the movies ? Kenneth Brannagh is the only one that can turn Shakespeare into good movies. What do you think ?

I really loved Luhman's Romeo and Juliet!!

yeah... new style with the old speech. but I´m sure that if shakespere was alive at that time, he would die after seeing it :P Just kidding.... :)

Yeah...he may not have liked it...but I though it was done very well.

When I first heard Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes were going to be in it I thought it was going to be a teen-movie take on it with modern language...but I was pleasantly surprised!!

me too ! They´re really good ! Leonardo DiCaprio proved that he´s not just some cute face in Hollywood.

I thought Claire Danes was good too, I'm surprised she hasn't had a more successful career than she has.

yeah.. I loved her on that tv show My so called life.

Yeah me too :)
