April 28, 200422 yr ...then why does my roommate (whose room is right next to mine in a house where sound carries like there's practically no walls) have to use the six or seven that I use to sleep to carry on his loud phone conversations?
April 28, 200422 yr  That's like my roommate! Her room is right by mine and her boyfriend calls at the weirdest hours and she just blabs on while i'm sleeping or studying and i can hear everything. They're dirty.
April 28, 200422 yr Author Last year I had to share a room in a dorm, and my girlfriend used to annoy me by talking dirty and 1) knowing I couldn't say things back and 2) enjoying getting me all hot and bothered while my roommate was there.

April 28, 200422 yr When my roommate's boyfriend came to visit over the holidays, they were holed up in her room 24/7. It got to the point where i'd find other places to sleep just to avoid them. That was uncomfortable.
April 28, 200422 yr Author haha yeah, i can imagine. i remember one night earlier this year when all three of my roommates had girlfriends over. this, of course, was about two weeks after i'd broken up with previously mentioned girlfriend. it was also the loneliest time of my life. i think i decided the next best thing would be to make an intimate connection with my friend Jack Daniels. :P well, i certainly killed that mood.
April 28, 200422 yr  awww...Tom Peed and Jack Daniels. A great couple. I hate being the third wheel whenever he comes over. It's so weird! But i think i got that problem fixed now.

April 28, 200422 yr Author looking back at my first post here... i'm one to talk, i spent literally ALL of last thursday night talking to my (again) previously mentioned ex-girlfriend.
April 28, 200422 yr i spent literally ALL of last thursday night talking to my (again) previously mentioned ex-girlfriend. wow! you still talk to your exes?? Even if it's considered a "good" breakup...i still can't talk to them.
April 28, 200422 yr Author well, this is kind of a special circumstance, we were each other's best friends in the world for like... four or five years before we were "together," and then we dated for two years. actually, the 9 hour conversation was about trying to clear things up and out of the way that have happened in the six months since we broke up, because we haven't really talked much since then, and it seems like we're finally ready to resume something approaching the friendship that we had before. but obviously it's much more complicated than that, and it just seems like one more thing making me want to pull my hair out these days. anyway... sorry about the little detour into my personal life.
April 28, 200422 yr Author thanks, me too. :D i know it's sort of uncharacteristic of me to make posts like that, but sometimes two hours a week on the shrink's couch doesn't seem like enough.
April 28, 200422 yr we're here to listen Tom. We'll be your therapists. *puts glasses on* Alright. Continue. :D
April 28, 200422 yr Author for some reason i've always had this image in my head of all mental health experts being middle-aged to elderly men with thick gray moustaches, reading glasses and german accents. so of course when i started realizing that i was slightly off my rocker, i started seeing a therapist and psychiatrist who were both young women. anyway, i was reminded of that by the glasses thing. :)
