It's amazing how music can make you feel sometimes.

I was just sitting here, surfing around the boards, posting here and there, when I suddenly realized how quiet it was. Unbeleivably quiet. And I also realized that I was extremely warm and thirsty, and I felt really really dry. So I go and grab a glass of water, drain it, and I'm still thirsty. How annoying. Then I decide to try and deal with the quiet. I go into my folder of music files that a friend of mine sent me before, and look at some of the stuff I've got there...And then I see this song that I haven't listened to in a while. I open it up...

Soon as it starts, I just got this WOW feeling, like I'd just dove into this deep, cool body of water. It was great!

Music is so amazing, in the way that it moves people sometimes.

AMEN TO THAT.

I do think Mellon Collie and THE INFINITE SADNESS is an uplifting album.

There are many emotions on that album, not simply depression and sadness.

Tonight Tonight, Muzzle, Jellybelly, Here is no Why, Love, Cupid De Locke, Muzzle, Take Me Down, Thirty Three, In the Arms of Sleep, 1979, Thru the Eyes of Ruby, We Only Come Out at Night, Beautiful, Lily, By Starlight, Farewell and Goodnight- are all songs which arent particularly depressing.

Sad/angry songs are: Tales of a Scorched Earth, XYU, Where Boys Fear to Tread, Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Galapogos, Stumbleine. Thats it, then there's a few in-betweeners.

how are those songs uplifting? please explain

particularly Thirty-Three, and the rest of them

the album is about a day in the life of an angst-ridden teen.

Most of the lyrics in the verse are pretty positive, except for 2 or 3 lines. The chorus is:

"I know I'll make it

Love can last, forever

Graceful swans of never

Topple to the eart

And you

Can make it last forever You,

Can make it last.

And for a moment I lose myself

WRAPPED UP IN THE PLEASURES OF THE WORLD"

It's a love song. The music itself isn't too depressing at all, its in a fairly high key and if anything the tone is reflective. The song finishes on a high, positive note, at least agree on that if anything.

If its about a day in the life of an angsty teen, angsty teens experience a lot of highs, its what makes the lows so low. I dont think the fact the album has the words 'Infinite Sadness' in the title should mean its all depressing.

And if you're actually asking me why songs like Jellybelly, Here is no Why, Beautiful, Muzzle, arent depressing, then get off the crack kid. :D

Uh huh (Just want Jacob to see it).
