I would wait before spending a lot of money to record anything, because usually a band takes a few tries to get their songwriting style down. If you record those four songs now, in about six months you'll probably be wishing that you'd saved the money to do it later because you'll have twice as many songs that are twice as good by then.

 

But if you can do it cheaply, then by all means, do it. Recording equipment is getting more and more affordable by the day. :D

Good points T.Pee:D I think you should wait, and just play a band for a while...But!...buy a cheap 4 track for a tape. surely you can find one on ebay for £50. just to record your ideas so you don't forget it :)
