it was totally cold yesterday, my hands were freezing, but i played the bass anyways.

I was working on some strokes songs, and they're kind of fast, and i wasnt using a pick. and after 2 hours i stopped and went to my friends house, and when i tried to play the bass there, my fingers were hurting so freaking much, i jusr couldnt play the bass for more than 10 minutes.

And when i woke up today they were still hurting. :/

STUPID fingers.

 that sucks !

hope you feel better soon

yeah, it happens now and then. every so often i get serious stinging pain in my fretting fingers. it goes away after a day or so.

I get pains every so often in my right hand as well, probably RSI :(

If you try playing again at about 9:23pm, your fingers will feel fine.

Bass doesn't sound good played with a pick anyway. :P

Anyway, I used to play bass/guitar literally until my fingers started bleeding, but I don't really play either of those enough for that to happen anymore, because I've been focusing on m' piano.

it depends entirely on the music, the bassist and EQ settings. plectrums are better for when you want a more powerful sound, as they give more attack.

i hate that  but now its really really hot over here....so i dont have to worry about it for a while :D

sometimes it helps to wash your hands with warm water before you play....well it helps me at least....couldn't hurt to try :D
