One of our teachers told us yesterday that there are some job offers to work as a receptionist, so today i went to ask about it at the secretary.. they told me i should give them a CV. The enterprises want to get the employee before easter :o that's this friday.

there are 3 offers from 3 different hotels, only one is in the city, the other two are in a close city, but i'm sure they will want an employee who owns a car or who have driving car, which i haven't either of them... so... i don't know if give the CV tomorrow or not... :/ (I have eoi, and our accounting teacher wants we do a big exercise for tomorrow, i'm sure this exercise will take me 2 hours to do it... i'm afraid i won't have time to revise my CV).

About the summer course abroad, my dad adviced me not to do it, i will be stressed, with exams and then erasmus, and so if i can get a job for summer, it will be better, because i already have a good english level so, that course is not a priority now. Personally i'm more interested in get a job for this summer, not only to get some money, but also to have the personal experience, you know, when i ask for a job, they always prefer somebody who has already worked somewhere, and i didn't worked yet.

About erasmus, we won't decide which city we choose, until our come back after easter so i have to wait... i hope i can go to Viseu.

Today i finished my practices earlier, our guide tutor, let us go when was 5pm. :D (Today was cloudy and rainy).

sounds good. i see your point about the language course if you prefer to stay in spain and get a job id definitely do it. i do think it could be a bit stressful if you went abroad in your summer break. work experience can definitely help you to get a job when youve finished your studies. however i also think the language couse might help you to get an employment. depends what the people who read your cv find more important. however if you dont feel like doing it then dont do it!

oh my dad told me to answer to the ministery offer (they offered me a grant to do this course), so if they will give me the grant for it i'll do the summer course, i always have time to don't do it, in case i get a job for summer... i gave 3 cvs for 3 job offers which i doubt they will choose me (students of the 3rd year had already apllied for the same offer, so they have more experience and have lectures about the job, receptionist), but as i already have a no, may be if i try it, they will choose me.

related to all this, i also have to get my driving license too, for any job offer i send a cv, in the interview they always end asking me if i own a car or if i have a driving license... is a point that they seriously have into account to choose an employee or other so... when i'll get the dl they won't refuse me as a candidate for this reason... but i don't know how i will have time to do all this before summer. :S

getting the first job is hard :(

i think i should take any lessons, this summer... tomorrow i'm going to buy some grammar books by myself, i've started a thread on international. I understand portuguese but i don't know how to speak or write it, i'm afraid of been mistaken on what i will try to say or write, that's what i will need grammar.

when i'm in holidays i always have the will at first of studying but it happen the same as you, the holidays end and i study nothing :S Now i have something in mind, so i want to give it priority... i think i must do all the homework tomorrow to be free the rest of the holiday.

yes is how i think every holidays period, but i never get time to do homeworks... but this time i will. if i could done the accounting exercise yesterday then i can do any homowork now... that exercise stressed me a lot, because counts weren't right...

 

i also will watch the dvds i own in portuguese, i haven't got loads of dvds but... it will help.

i don't note this kind of things, i meant writings.. the plots of stories... my dad told me that if anyone wants to know about it, they will get mad, because i write them in a lot of papers... i mean i have a plot in a notebook, another plot in other part of the same noteboo, a third plot that is really the second part of the first one.. you know...

i didn't explained properly either...

 

i write about politics and society too, but well, on writing i try to develop an idea or situation, i want to investigate in people personalities, i mean their feelings, the way they react to some situations, like if the characters were puppets, in a good sense. so as i try to write about reality, we can't forget to mention love, so always appair the topic in it, and although is not the main topic or the thread, but is important in the story, and in the characters personality.

I feel really good when i write, but late i think i didn't wrote a good thing, and i start to see the "situations" in a different way, so that's why i never try to send it to an editor or competition yet.... i think is not that you write a good thing, it must be the good moment to get someone publish your work.

although i like to write and do it as a hobby, i would like i can live doing it, i mean i hope i can get some money one day with it, but not to be rich for it, i never imagine myself as a best-seller, in fact i never want to be that.
