ARI....Bea!

Featured Replies

To be honest I've got no clue.

My knowledge of French is zero (or almost) :worried:

What's the meaning of it?

It's the same word in english . . .

So for the moment I'm in Ireland in a family where I take care of the children.

I live with the family and I have some money for my "work" during the week.

And Ari I'm going to Portugal in August . . .

hi everybody, that seems the pub thread :D

@Ari:

@Daryl:

and now two!

@Sandy:

Oh, I see. Well, I had never heard that word before and I thought it was French, because (for me) it sounds that way (the accent, I mean).

Ireland? This is so amazing! Did you go on this trip by yourself? I'd like to know more about it, I feel curiosity.

yeah 3 more Iris :dance:

cool sandy, i hope i'll be here around the 15ag. in Batalha to attend David Fonseca concert. it'll be cool if we could meet. :)

It's a french word but they use the same word in english.

So yep, I'm here by myself since January until the end of July.

And it's so amazing here ! Love the people love the country !

It's an amazing experience :)

What do you want to know ??

yeah 3 more Iris :dance:

Yep it could be cool ;)

I think I'm going there around the 1st of August

@Sandy:

yeah, I can imagine, I've heard that the Irish are quite warm and nice and I suppose this fact always helps and when you go abroad by yourself you do need to get to know new people.

Wasn't it difficult for you at the beginning, though? Because at first, when you go there you don't know anyone and I bet you must feel alone at times.

I have to see if I can get the time of work to come to Lisbon. I can afford the flights

And my english was pretty bad !!

I'm impressed because it was not so bad at the beginning. But sometimes of course it's more difficult. I miss my family, my friends but even if I'm alone I'm in a great family and I take advantage of this travel to visit etc . . .

I'm really enjoying it :smug:

@ sandy:

i'm planing to do my trips in Portugal this July, then come back from the 15 until the 27 august to attend 3 concerts... at the beging of august i'd like to go to UK for 5 days, (just an idea yet).

but yet my plans can change a bit. :)

lol this summer i want to do many many things, i never felt like to do so many things before, i don't know how i'm getting all this 'energy' :nice:

@ Iris:

@ Daryl: Ok, if you can get it let me know, but don't feel forced to do it, ok? ;)

That's great Ari !

Don't worry I will tell you later because for the moment I don't really know the dates . . .

But surely you've been improving it all these months that you've spent there (so far). Also, there are more to come!

I'm glad to hear that you think you're having the time of your life!

May I ask you the reasons that led you to go on this trip? Or did you just follow an impulse?

@Ari.

:lol:

10001 :):):cool::cool::cool::cool: Super Cool

ok sandy ;)

i'm realising that do so many trips will take me many time to the second thing i wanted to do, that is compose some music :thinking: but surelly this experience will make me be more energetic and inspired to do it once i'll be back at my place. :)

@ Daryl: Ok, if you can get it let me know, but don't feel forced to do it, ok? ;)

OK ari... I will see as I have to wait till tomorrow.. when my boss gets back to me...

The guy that owned the hostel was a cool guy, and I could also go and see the boy from Portugal that went back that used to stay at my flat again... I don´t know...

The news I got tonight from the Girl has made me feel a little wierd and I need a Holiday, I have not had one this year...

I went in Ireland 5 years ago now and I was completely in love with the country. It was a dream to come back there.

I decided to come here if the schools that I tried to enter didn't accept me. And here I am ! And I will definitely come back in Ireland to live an another part of my life I don't know. Who knows . . . :rolleyes:

feliciades Iris :dance: :juggle:

ok daryl, you work hard, you deserve some holidays :)

it'll be cool that you can meet that guy too :nice:

@ sandy: i think that Ireland is pretty cool, if i could had gone there, i would had gone there, but i feel the same as you are feeling about it, with Portugal now. I will never forget this place and this year, i'll try to keep in contact with this country in some way. :) and be sure if i ever get to earn many money i'll buy a home here. :nice: or who knows, moves to live here.

@Daryl:

I find it somehow funny that you've been counting my posts.

Cheersl!!! It took me almost 3 years to write them all! :nice:

@Ari:

graaazie :kiss:

@Sandy:

Aw, I understand. So you totally fell for the country and of course you wanted to come back. I suppose, though, that an important drawback of living in Dublin (I guess you're there) is the weather, right? I've been told it's quite changeable.

Wait - so you applied for Irish Universities and you'll be back to France if they refuse your application?! I do hope they'll accept you! (or maybe I got it all wrong? mmm, Im not sure!)

I feel the same :smug:

I just need to know more people here now :thinking:

And congrats Iris !! ;)

No, I applied French schools last year.

And this year I'm trying again to enter in the same schools. But if I can find the same kind of studies here . . . It could be awesome ! But everything is very expensive in Dublin :rolleyes:

Sorry but I'm off now . . .

Good night everybody !

See ya ;)

oh, so I got it wrong!

Hopefully this time they'll accept you (at least one of them)!

I supposed so. I didn't expect Ireland to be a "cheap country".

Night Sandy! :smiley:

so you are thinking to study in Ireland? wow that would be cool sandy :nice: but i know that you want to do those studies in that place in France. :) good luck with the interviews :nice:

i know that if you go there again if you have the chance to, you'll meet loads of people :D

I had a unsual time the other night...

I was near Glores the other night, the Police Stoped me again :( and for some reason I never had the correct ID on me... These Police were not bad as the others though...

Then from no where a catalan friend of mine came along and helped me, he explained to the Police we dont have a DNI in the UK and I did not think I thought a photcopy of my passport was good enough. I had some weed on me, but luckly the police turned there backs for a second so I was able to give it my friend, they did not search me anyway.

We then went to a bar and bumped into another catalan friend of mine a mutal one we talked about the football for a bit everyone was sad, as we all knew the next day barca would get beat and would have to wish well done to Real Madrid.

We went on together to go to another bar and we met a girl from Purto Rico, we had a few drinks there, then we went to the Republic, they left then I went to the Lord Byron on C/Valencia with Psg Joan... with some friends from Mexico..

It was to be a puta club but its not anymore.

What was good for me my whole night was not in English and I had a real good time, sadly though I was to tired for Spanish class the next day.

You were very lucky that this friend of yours bumped into you and was able to help you a little bit. Anyway, you shouldn't bring weed with yourself, and even less when you know that The Police seem to have a tendency to stop you and ask you for some documentation.

It looks that night ended up being far better than what you expected it to be at first.
