I have to say, I love VLV very, very, very much, but right after Another'sArms it has a bit of an empty feeling to it. I cant feel the exuberance I usually feel with this song...

Did the world know about Chris's breakup at that time, or was everybody astounded why so many breakup songs were debuted ?

I have to say I don't like newer performances of Clocks so much because the iconic piano motif is often sidelined by Chris' piano improv during the bridge and too (imho) heavy bass. I prefer the early performances that were close to te album version, or the X&Y Era version with buildup and breakdown.
