Does anyone else love the part when it says "a wonderful adventure" right before AHFOD sets in ? And then when it echoes again in different pitches "a wonderful adventure....a wonderful adventure....a wonderful adventure" after a few seconds, right before the first riff. After my MetLife show i woke up in the middle of the night because it was so hot and these words were stuck in my head ! I also have a video of it and I often rewatched this moment because it was so amazing.

I have been collecting on a tight budget too. For example I really wanted to have the Scientist in my collection (for obvious reasons :D) but I had set myself that internal limit of not more than 4-5 dollars or euros for a used disc (a super-rare one of course might exceed, but I'm talking regular single or promo CDs now) and the Scientist was always beyond that limit. I had to wait one year and two months for an opportunity but I knew the moment would come ! Don't have any fancy things in my collection and also do not collect the same release from different countries like many people here do, but the one thing I am proud of is that I didn't spend a lot of money on it. And the joy of getting a new disc at a low price for your collection is so much bigger if it only happens every few weeks/month and it's like finding a treasure, as opposed to just buying everything you want all the time. :)

Finally got The Scientist into my collection ! How ironic that the one disc my favorite song I Ran Away is on was one of the hardest to find (at a reasonable price) :)

I feel you, my friend, a few days ago I have been in this dark place too... Unfortunately I don't have any good recommendations for getting over it...I give you a big virtual hug ! Right now, the lyric I relate to is more "gotta spread love around, gotta spread it around"

Heard about this mayhem and I am so sorry for everyone who went to this show. I would be so sad if I'd been looking forward to the tour and all of the sudden this happened to the one concert I was going to... All the more amazing in what high spirits people were nonetheless. I don't think I would have managed that ! You guys must have better than the NY crowd, who despite excellent conditions I did not once hear doing the Viva chant on their way out... I read that post about @iamsue grabbing wet confetti in the rain despite back pain and you know what I thought ? I collected a small bag full of (dry and relatively clean) birds and stars after the NY show and I would like to send some out to those who didn't manage to get any because of the rain or got only soaked ones in bad shape. If you want a letter with a few confetti, just PM me your adress. Of course for free !

I think it is a beautiful piece and joyful in its own way. Also, it does give this goosebumpy feeling that something great is about to start...
