By the way, did someone record the interview with Chris and Corden after the SB ?

After for weeks offering me ads entitled "Jewish and Single ?" or alternatively "Christian and Single ?", neither of which I am, the large ad bar on the front page of Coldplaying.com/forum is now offering me tickets for Justin Bieber's world tour. And I thought online ads were personalized..... :D

Did anyone notice that..... 1. the Yellow snippet was played to the sounds that the AHFOD album begins with ? 2. not only had Chris Apple and Moses written on his trousers, but Guy had Nico written on his guitar ? 3. that Apocalypse or whatever movie commercial after the halftime featured the slowly sung words (dunno by whom) "Bones sinking like stones, all that we fought for...We live in a beautiful world"

That was debunked as actually being SFX (special effects department), right ?

Need not be aggressive. From what I remember their very first video and many other good videos mainly featured him staring into the camera and walking towards it - on a beach, on the streets of London, hell even after a car accident ;)

First off, welcome to the forum ! :D What ? From what I saw their instruments weren't plugged in. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Chris really did not look too comfortable in this, but then also the other two kept in the front close to the camera and he was kinda the last one trailing behind...he should have been in front, he was the headliner !

So many lyric ones are inspiring to me...for now here is just one random example: "You think you'll never get it right, but you know, you might"

It's certainly better than the rest of this list (minus Animals), but it has always been my least favorite AROBTTH song....

By the way my co-watchers last night kindly pointed out to me after the show that "his white pullover didn't fit with Beyonces and Brunos costumes, that was so awkward" Can we get any more superficial, please ?

I really love Left Shark (who doesn't ? He is so cute and adorable) but I hate those memes and GIFs where Chris in the middle of Bey and BM is replaced by Left Shark !

When you're down (like I was today) all these beautiful sad songs like Harmless, Prospekt's March/Poppyfields, For You or Fly On hit you so much more.....it's great that Coldplay songs always have this tiny little spot of hope in them even at their darkest. Lifts you up !

I disagree. If they download HFTW first they will realize what a real melody is and not dowload Formation anymore :D

What do other Oldplayers think about Coldplay's performance at the SuperBowl ?

I still think the true capabilities and beauty of Coldplay totally went under in the muddle of their own truncated mashups and the Beyonce/BM "music". This show did not transport the energy of their tour shows. I have the feeling all the haters see themselves confirmed now, which is truly annoying.

Glad the forum is up again.... Oh my, I felt so sorry for Coldplay yesterday evening and I still am. They can do way, way, WAY better shows than this one ! This show was underwhelming for a number of reasons, not all of which are their fault (Beyonce shamefully exploiting it for her own promo; and who the hell mixed this sound ??? At least here on CBS in the US I could hardly hear Chris's vocals, just the surrounding noise. Chris's vocals however were off and he was out of breath at several points, and the beautiful Coldplay melodies could not shine because they were shortened and mashed-up beyond recognition - the Clocks riff was so hidden, for example !) To be honest, and it pains me to say that, but in these few minutes Coldplay has actually shown themselves to be exactly what the haters always said they were. It's a shame because we all know they aren't and they can do better. (On the other hand, I'm also proud of them because in the end they did not cave in to the commercial extravagant show madness in the style of Katy Perry etc. and just stayed true to themselves and the "Glastonbury spirit". Loved the moving flowers !) I'll post a more detailed comment later.
