In regards to first part: oh okay that makes sense haha In regards to second part: yeah we're nice people i guess, not all of us come from the backwoods as depicted in stereotypes (this is not meant as an insult). Just so you know, Hawaii does have its own time zone, Hawaii-Aleutian Time, named that way because it also shares the time with some of Alaska's Aleutian Islands. They are 2 hours behind Pacific Time (US West Coast) during the winter and 3 hours behind during the summer (during daylight savings). Source: my own knowledge about Hawaii because I've been there a bunch of times
