I really hope the source is wrong... I know Coldplay can do better than that :P But the song itself sounds beautiful which is the important point...

That sound amazing!! (Well not on a smartphone but when they release it I could just imagine!!) BTW they're still insisting the song is called "Amazing Day"... did they get official word from Coldplay saying that was the song title or are they just making something up just so everyone can refer to it easily? I really hope Coldplay has a better song title for that and this is just a temporary song title just so we can all refer to it easily... A) How is he repeating it? I only heard him say it once in each of the 5 clips... did you hear a 6th clip or something? Please show me where you heard it being repeated... I'd love to know! I really think if you want to name this song going off of repeating phrases you should title it "In Your Eyes". I also honestly think Coldplay could come up with a better name for a song... :P B) Yeah... I wouldn't be thrilled either if I never heard a song before and it's title was "Amazing Day". I'd still give it a go it though, just because you never know. But I ended up hearing the clips first, and the actual music - how it sounds - once you know the song, it's more important than the song title. But in my opinion the song title when you first release a song is really important since most people would just scroll on and maybe laugh a little if they saw a song's title be named "Amazing Day" because that just sounds a little silly... As for your closing statement, I really think it will be called something different because I know Coldplay is better at giving names to songs than that. This convo is most likely pretty much worthless :lol: I have A Head Full Of Dreams... and one of them is to go to a Coldplay Concert :laugh4:

a) I completely agree with that. :D Edit: I honestly don't know, if anything if you're going to make a song title based off of what he's repeating you should be naming it "In Your Arms" or "In Your Eyes". Not "Amazing Day" because I don't remember him saying that once. Maybe they just suggested that for a title because it's an amazing day right now.. :P b) Same here. I wouldn't care too much about the song title if you know you're talking Coldplay because it's most likely going to be amazing. But it does sound cooler saying "A Rush of Blood to the Head" or "Twisted Logic" than "Amazing Day". Just sayin'.

I feel kind of the same way as you to be honest... These cell phone clips really can't capture the greatness in this song so far. We shouldn't judge it too much just yet. and we haven't heard the full song either. We shouldn't get too let down nor too excited because who knows what the other 2 minues are like. But as for first impressions. I am really impressed so far. I actually love what we have so far (remember that, so far) but who knows what the full song is like. We just have to wait less than 24 hours - I honestly am so over-excited and can't wait! :D

That'd be great if we heard two new songs tomorrow but I honestly doubt it... @ the spoiler that's a very low chance of happening, since they're already sound-testing a new song. Why would they sound-test a new song if they were never going to play it? :D

It does haev a slightly pop sound, just a bit though. Not too much of a pop feel, this song I can tell is already miles better then the stuff we hear on the radio. In my opinion it reminds of MX a bit, but it also reminds me a lot of Oldplay. Almost like a combination of Oldplay and MX, and the lyrics are very GS-y. Like a combination of all Coldplay in this song :D

Ok turns out I pieced together these songs together and it actually sounds a bit consistent... the lyrics sound not all that consistent but I'm serious if you put the clips together the music does flow well.. obviously you can tell the difference in pitch but the music itself sounds consistent.

That would be so depressing if it was not an AHFOD new song... :( Those lyrics kind of seem GS-y to me too but, hey, at least it's a new song we never heard before! At least it's new. But the song itself kind of has it's own feeling to it, sort of GS-y but at the same time not really, and it has a AHFOD-feel to it.

^ I hope they're actual new lyrics. They better be. Hope they don't go the way of MX... because these "lyrics" on Chris' pants are serious gems that would be Chris' best in a long time. I don't see why he wouldn't use them if they would add a lot of depth, mystery, and story to a song and overall make the song much more interesting. I like these kinds of lyrics that somehow don't really make a ton of sense but are still very fitting to a song. I really like it when at first glance the song's lyrics seem to be about one thing, but there's just some things about it that leave you wondering... Those are the lyrics I really love and the lyrics on the pants are a hint of exaclty just that. They're also a hint of a great album to come - can't wait!
