Yeah the setlist had their really well recognized, some of their biggest songs. But something, and I've said this many times, didn't seem quite right. Nonetheless the performance seemed totally amazing and cool. Not their best, but pretty amazing. I could also see that Chris was sweating, and I mean sweating. If you watch the video I shared then at some points you'd see what I'm talking about. But that can be explained easily, they haven't been on the stage in a while, so that's the explanation there. But IMO even if they weren't on the stage in a long time, something still seemed off that I don't think something went quite right. Maybe it was a backstage thing, who knows, but they seemed off in that way.. that it couldn't have been to do with them not being on the stage in a long time.

That would be soo cool. I would never see that happening in the stores where I live...

@ the strange stare: That could very well be it. But he had a different look in his eyes... than that. Don't get me wrong you could be right. But I think that it might have been something different. It just seemed that way. I don't know. He was also off in a lot of different parts of different songs... and other people mentioned that he was "different" this time around. Something was off... and a lot of people tend to see it the same way. If you want to see their performance to see what I might be getting at here, watch this: @ the Viva chant: Neither did I. The crowd on my end was completely silent and lifeless during Viva. I could see some chanting but for one I couldn't hear them, and when the camera zoomed out some were just walking through and not paying one bit of attention. (At least that's what I remember seeing). @gjohnson, since you did have a different point of view and you say you could hear the crown tons better, could you tell us if they were chanting during Viva? I sure couldn't hear it on the livestream.

Wait so the crowd was actually cheering? Couldn't hear it on the livestream pretty much at all... So I'm assuming from your point of view when you were there it was another story?

^ Definetely! It'd remind me of Viva in that way, because of the experimentation. Not saying it'd be exactly like Viva's experimentatiion but it'd still remind me of it in that sense, you know?

Same here. SoS is a pretty awesome song but I am massively surprised it hasn't been voted for either...

There's some extra lyrics that follow after, in lime green, that reads "Its a fools gold thunder" At least that's what me and a few other people have made out of it. That is most likely not an accurate translation because it doesn't really make sense. It's the best we could make out of the blurriness out of the photos for now. I might try to somehow edit the photos later on to make them easier to read so I can confirm at least somewhat that those are some new supposed lyrics coming in a future song. Interestingly enough these lyrics seem to be a bit more difficult to read than the lyrics that come before it. It's lime green and brighter so it should be easier to read... but I guess actually not since bright things I think might blur easier on cameras then the right-lighting sort of text... but anyways that's what we made out of it for now and I'll tell you if I get more info on these new lyrics :P EDIT: Look at the post above me, he managed to get even more lyrics! :D Thanks @frostyNinja for the great translations! Yeah, pretty much anything after "It's a fools gold thunder" is almost indecipherable since it's so dark. But I'm going to take a good look at the rest of the video and see if there's any different parts that might be even better... :P

I'm using the photos from here and looking at the lime green text (these are the lyrics no one's found out yet, or hasn't been released yet). It's very pixelated so I'm making out the best of it that I can... EDIT: The lime green text says "its/as a fade/fools..." so far is what I've found... EDIT2: Something not related to the lyrics, but I found something new I haven't seen a pic of before. It's on the side of Will's drums, it says "ddrum" on it (it appears), it changes colors a lot when you see it in the video, and it has the same colors that AHFOD supposedly has. Possibly. If something went wrong with the special guest then it could happen in Global Citizen. Also the new look of the band and everything, I agree! It's definetely a hint of something new...

This makes a lot of sense. The iHeartRadio festival wasn't meant to show everyone new songs or anything like that. Just getting some new outfits on at least is good. It was a sign of the things to come for the Global Citizen Festival. Almost like a preview or something. However, I still find it puzzling why they seemed off. Chris Martin didn't... seem the same that night. I don't know. They said something about a special guest but it never happened. Them bringing out the new stuff from AHFOD and not playing anything new sort of makes sense to me know because it seems as if that was their first "tease". To show off all the new things they had. But it still seems puzzling how he kind of seemed different that night like something was off... and that special guest never appeared... We may never know.
