I'm actually really like those types of songs which are fine with me but I don't want it to be exclusively that either, I'd love to hear most songs as great as Oldplay... that be amazing.

I completely agree with you. The Parachutes Acoustic was good but for me it can't compare to MX. They nailed it there. They're quite underrated too. They are produced a bit heavily for acoustic songs, but it kinds of fits with the album and it's kind of it's own kind of acoustic-ness with the production it has, it really has it's own special sound to it and it sounds beautiful, they did a great job. Up in Flames is just so underrated. I don't know what's wrong with the song at all. It still has the MX-ness to it, but it isn't as upbeat as some of the other songs. Yet, they put this song in the right place in the album. I love that subtle piano touch to it and the song as a whole is great. The acoustic LP5 would have sounded amazing IMO. It would show what they learned since their early days :P I just can't help but wonder either. It would really have been something special, not only in the way how it'd sound quite nice, but it'd have sort of a creative acoustic sound to it as well. The songs that are acoustic in MX already have their own type of sound compared to other acoustic songs. I love how Coldplay can be so creative with different types of music and put their own twist on it as they put their own twist on their later acoustic songs. It's really something special. And I love them for that. I really like to see how they experiment with different types of music and put their own feeling into it, and this goes for everything, not just for the acoustic part of it. The final product is something I usually love.

Yeah, opinions do differ a lot. And you have a right to yours and me to mine. But it is interesting to see different points of view and how they differ so much! We all hear things different. For me, UATW sounds beautiful.. as for the vocals, they fit for me which adds to the song IMO. As for U.F.O. it's a nice little tune. The vocals fit as well, only thing is its a little short. But it's nice to listen too. Just my opinion.

Tell you what, I actually would have voted for White Shadows this round if the other one didn't vote for Square One. I only voted Square One to have a higher change of saving the other songs. Square One, I agree, is one of the best openers Coldplay's ever written. But when it comes down to saving absolutely amazing songs like Gravity, I'll vote for Square One any day. As for Gravity, IMO it should be a final-battle song against Fix You. It's so amazing, and is probably a top 10, if not top-5 song by Coldplay. What Embrace did to it really should be considered a crime.

Actually MX would be my favorite album as of now. My favorite song by far is Paradise. It's absolutely beautiful... to be honest there's no more to be said, it's that beautiful... I agree with the people above me. Us Against The World seems to get a lot of hate, same for U.F.O. Those are two of the most underrated songs in MX IMO, U.F.O is short which is one downfall of it but it's easily top three as far as MX goes. I think people don't like it because it kind of dampens the energy of MX a bit. I'd argue that even though it does slow down MX, it slows it down at just the right time. therefore actually improving the album IMO. It also is a song that has that MX feel to it so it isn't out of place. As for Us Against The World, that one's probably top 5. I don't really know what to say about it. It's a great tune that fits with MX, quite beautiful, and I don't know what problem people have with it. It's almost like an extended version of U.F.O. But I prefer U.F.O's tune a bit better than UATW therefore I like it more. Both very great songs overall, and they're very underrated.

I think we might have to agree to disagree. In my opinion Us Against The World and U.F.O are two of some of the greatest acoustic songs in Coldplay's discography. Not saying they're the best but I think U.F.O might be the best one. (I said might be, I really haven't made up my mind when it comes to exact listings of acoustic songs yet :P) As for A Spell A Rebel Yell, I completely agree. It does sound like an unfinished song but it definetely should be revisited, it has a lot of potential if it ever does.

These lyrics give hope that this album will have some X&Y-ness in it which would be amazing. Mysterious lyrics is a very good sign of things to come for this album. It'd be nice to hear a new album from them that isn't just idle happiness :P

What? U.F.O? And Us Against The World? Sorry but I have to disagree... U,F.O easily is one of my most favorite Coldplay songs... don't know how it could be a "throw-away" B-side.
