  1. since she's into the "heavier" music, i guess these songs would appeal more to her; showbiz = muscle museum, uno oos = new born, hypermusic, citizen erased absolution = apocalypse please, stockholm syndrome, hysteria, butterflies & hurricanes, the small print bh&r = assassin, knights of cydonia hullaballoo = nature 1 (most awesome-est muse song ever), ashamed other b-sides = deadstar, in your world, eternally missed, host, house of the rising sun, the groove, fury that's a good 21 or so songs? which can make an entire cd on its own. certain songs like sunburn, time is running out, exo-politics, supermassive black hole, etc have more of a 'pop' element to it... not that it does to listeners like us; but to someone who listens to the heavier stuff, i guess it's much more ...'tame' for want of a better word. if i were doing a compilation on muse songs, i definitely would include others like city of delusion and showbiz on it, but i think those can come after she appreciates these. hope it helps :)

  15. muse was my first concert too, back in 2004. going to see them again in january. trust me, for a first concert, they are the most mindblowing band to see live. all the advice i can give is: -wear comfortable shoes -make sure you wear a belt if your jeans are capable of being pulled down a bit cos the muse moshpits are crazy especially if you're in the front -try not to wear pants or whatever that are too suffocating though, because that will make things worse. it gets to incredible temperatures in there. it's like a whole new world :dizzy: -no longsleeve tops. again you will roast to death -if you go with a group of friends, and you decide to bring a bag, put it in the locker room, because i assure you, it is impossible to keep a bag with you in there. i was more focussed on trying to stay alive. the 2nd-6th lines are crazzzyyy -warning: you will be dying from dehydration when you finish which is lovely... lol :) -enjoy it, soak it uppppppp man, sing along to every single word, muse is amazing live, and the best possible band you could see as a first concert. i lost my concert virginity to them too :wacky: it's a night you'll neverrr ever forget. no matter which bands i see, which include the foo fighters, kaisers, franz ferdinand, coldplay, etc, even though coldplay is my ultimate favourite, nothing will ever live up to the muse concert, because they will bloooooooowww your mind back to siberia. :nice:
  16. i willlll, i promise. :nice: p.s; i got my muse tickets today. :wideeyed: weeeeeeeeeeeee!
  17. i sure will. :) thankkssss val :nice: i just had my music practical exam on friday :wideeyed: and it went pretty good. so i'm happy. all my theory subjects start in october, next month. but it will be over so sooon. weee :wacky:
  18. what a week for australia... alot of people here think that there will be a third sometime soon. you know how everything horrible happens in 3's. the same happened with a girl in my grade. she died last year. a few days after, a boy from the school up the road died. a few more days later, another girl from another close by school died. 3 of them. all in the same grade. all in local catholic high schools in the same area. all within the one week. :( this is all too depressing.
  19. :cry2: such passion and enthusiasm... can't believe he's gone. i had no idea that so many people worldwide actually watched his shows! i mean i knew people knew of him, but it makes me happy to see that he had such a huge following worldwide. his daughter bindi will fill his shoes, she's such a beautiful little girl :nice:
